Is there a silver arrow to be found?

In the town above where you started the quest there is a guy in one of the houses on the left that has it. He told you to come back later when he found it.

One of the very first people you meet in the quest tells you he is looking for the silver arrow. Talk to him again later on and he'll give it to you.

If you visit the second crystal spring inside Death Mountain, you will be prompted to revisit old NPCs. Whether you want to do that now or later is up to you (though a warp back is provided and the loot gained from this will make the second trip a bit easier), but among the items you can pick up after doing this are the silver arrow and the mirror shield. The silver arrow doesn't have any special requirements to obtain it - Just talk to the guy after the prompt and it is yours. Same with the mirror shield.

in 2.5 Warp returns are used in place of start/continue squares (which are available but obsolete). The fact that Link just appears in the room is an immediate sign that the room has stairs in it. That's what it means.

I thought it was pretty clever, but the solution may not be immedietly obvious to people who aren't familiar with the nuances of the editor.

Are there any bomb upgrades in this quest?   I am entering Level 9, still only 8 bombs max.

The entrances are above and below each other. Don't know which ones you have opened but there is the one you bomb, then there is one you use the whistle to open which is on the screen below the one you bomb. And there is one entrance on the screen above the entrance that you bomb. To get to to the entrance above the one you bomb. From level 4 you have to go back right and use your raft , push up on the second screen to get to that raft launch walk up across mountain. Then take stairs when you come out go left twice take stairs. I hope this helps!

If you have blasted to find the first chamber of level 4, you will find the whistle there. Use this wherever you come across a "snake" feature on the overworld or dungeon. 
(it won't do anything to ropes, though)

I don't know what you are asking, but first of all you shouldn't even be able to get there unless you *have* the whistle. Explain to me exactly how you ended up there?

I *think* he is asking how to progress through that room, but I forget if there is a push block there or if it is a dead end. He appears to have the whistle too, so I dunno.

How do I get in to Level 5. I saw the clue about it being in the Northeast cliffs but I don't have a ladder and I'm not sure how to get in.

I see that you borrowed the picture from one of the questions in the thread so..... I believe your asking where the whistle is at. Go in the entrance you bomb. It's in this room in the picture I posted. Kill enemies push that block. I've pushed the block it in the picture so you could see which one to push.

To get to level 5 go to the very bottom right corner of the overworld and walk up all the way to the very top right corner. Hint: When you think you can't go any farther do a little mountain climbing.

You get the ladder in level 5.
