I defeated Frogger X on Swindling!

Congrats!
(I also just submitted an update improving framerate (hopefully...) and fixed a bug for Frogger X)
EDIT: Was that harder than Autimecia? The Superboss arms race between Moosh and I apparently is in full swing.

I beat frozen Bill Cosby. It took 9+ hours. I'm not sure if I want to even try Frogger X now.

Yes, Frogger X is harder than Autimecia.
Both super bosses are unique and hard for different reasons.

I told Moosh in private that Ultimecia was a different kind of beast than the usual hardboss.
Truth is, Ultimecia is -bullshit.- Nothing about that fight is fair. Nothing. It MUST be trial and error'd, it NEEDS a certain amount of luck to beat with any real chance. It's the 'hardest' ZC boss around, but there's a few things that make that not technically true. First, it's a very short fight, so it can be brute forced. Second, RNG can make it either impossibly tough, or rather doable, or anything in between. Third, it's designed to be lost to over and over. Retries are eventually meatboy fast.
At the time, I was comparing to IoR tartoros, whom while wasn't AS rough, was a much longer fight (demanding consistently good play for a longer period of time) wasn't very RNG heavy (luck DID play a factor, but every attack could be dealt with individually in order, something that's not true of Ultimecia, who could straight murder you for no real fault of your own) and had higher stakes for losing, more time wasted for each attempt. Tartaros was the harder boss IMO, simply because it needed more consistent, skillful play, and better quick thinking. Ultimecia was 'harder' but very much a try-try-again fight where sooner or later, things would fall into place.
Frogger X is somewhere between these two. For good, and for bad.
Edit: In conclusion, I said Ultimecia was the better "jimmy rustle" boss. The more frustrating experience, but as far as challenging tasks to overcome Tartoros was a tougher nut to crack. Said it was like clearing a Last Word in touhou vs a full Extra stage. The last word is a short, bitesized challenge of extreme difficulty, but is still easier to overcome than the full course of slightly easier difficulty.

That's a pretty good analysis, all things considered.

Hardest boss in the quest, you guys. Took two attempts to beat.
Seriously, though. I was shocked at how easy this guy was with his weakness. So doing Hera first was...still not really worth it, but oh well.

Electrocution causes ZC to crash and shut down. Happened twice under the same circumstances.
Edit...It could be version difference, but I really don't want to use 2.5.0, because I have a fair chance of it wiping out all my saves. Its happened to me three times now. I'm using 2.5.2

On my ZC 2.5.2 shock status effect works fine, albeit with almost blinding effect.

Really. I'll try rebooting the laptop then.

The third lock...is it that one in the caverns you can reach with the flippers. If so...it was already unlocked even without the key.

That's there to imply that Gaius already came through there and got the key from the guardian. Whatever this fourth guardian was, we may never know...

Not sure if it's a bug, just an overload on scripts, or if it's just me, but everytime I get hit by something in the Necropolis, ZC crashes. First time (entered from the desert side), I got hit by an electrical thing that made my screen all wavy; I lost a LOT of progress (so I've been saving constantly to prevent future loss of progress), and the second time (entered from the obvious entrance), I killed something that was casting what I'm assuming to be a 'Slow' spell, and it crashed again.
Like I said, second time I've been able to recreate the problem, and I didn't see a bug report thread for this game, so... yeah. Feel free to move this (if possible) if there's a better place to put this.
Anyway, I'm actually enjoying the game so far (my progress is already known), and I must say, the method to get the flippers is pretty ingenious; took me a while to figure it out, despite it's simplicity. Can't wait to see what happens further on.
That's a problem! O_o
I'll look into it, but I have no idea what could be causing the crashes on my end. Glad you're enjoying the game at least!
This...this is the same bug I encountered earlier. Happened to me twice, but stopped afterwards.
Otherwise, I love this quest. Very different and fun. Awesome job with the bosses especially, ![]()

Wait, you had difficulty beating Hera? It only took me 5 tries on swindling, and I did it as soon she could be unlocked O.O (Then again, I also had the rock tablet...)

Rock tablet makes her effortless. Most elemental weapons wreck her pretty bad apparently. What gave me trouble was that I tried to beat her without them. Also in the later phases, the freeze status wombo combo can range from half your HP gone to instant death and it's one of those bosses where the phases are stacked from easiest to hardest. Also I am skrub and need to git gud.
