You probably missed one in one of the secret rooms. Check the rooms with off-looking torches. for any secret passages. Note that these do not have to be in the center of a wall, unlike the standard "secret passages".

The number 2 clue room has a walk thru wall. It's north of there.

Can anyone help with the Timeshift Serenade?  This traveling is killing me, got to the desert in the past, died and started back in the northwest

Can anyone help with the Timeshift Serenade?  This traveling is killing me, got to the desert in the past, died and started back in the northwest

 

It's accquired through a semi-long chain of deals. Read as little or as much as you like. Note: This will be a complete walkthrough for that item, not a simple hint. Scroll past if it you don't want to get spoiled.

 

- First off, go to Mr. Right, who lives in the starter town.

 

 

 

- After talking to him, go to Mr. Left, who lives in the town where the tower where you got the harp is.

 

 

 

 

- Then go back to Mr. Right yet again. He'll give you a letter to bring to Mr. Left. Do so.

 

 

 

 

- Upon giving Mr. Left the letter (and after a longish rant), go back to the Training Fields.

 

 

 

 

- Due south of where you enter the Training Fields, there should be a burnable bush. Hookshot it, theb burn it with the Candle.

 

 

 

 

- Follow the short cave up to the exit, where you'll find a switch that lowers a peg. Along with this peg, two other pegs further down the path to the first sword was were also lowered. Go there.

 

 

 

 

- You'll find Mr. Left there. Upon walking up to him, a mini-boss appears. The Slingshot is very effective on it.

 

 

 

 

- After killing the boss, go back to Mr. Left's house. He should give you the "Letter", which allows you to buy potions at the local shop (for obscene amounts of money, but eh.) DO NOT buy them just yet.

 

 

-After you receive the Letter, go talk to Malon. She'll tell you to get Chicken Feed, which you can buy from the Cucco Guy in the first town for 200 Rupees. Do so, and bring the Food back to her.

 

 

 

 

- She'll now tel you to get some sheet music from the mayor. Problem is, the guy's dead, and he has apparently taken the music with him to his grave.

 

 

 

 

- The mayor's grave is not in the graveyard. Rather, it's that strange cave under the twin tombstones you couldn't do anything in before in the first town. Enter it, push the gravestone inside the cave, then go to the basement.

 

 

 

 

- Upon entering the next room, a Poe spawns. It has a LOT of health, but is relatively simple. Kill it, then grab the Sheet Music from the chest in the next room.

 

 

 

- Finally, return to Lon Lon Ranch. The shed that was blocked off before is now opened up. Enter it and talk to Malon. A somewhat long rant later, you have the second song.

Welp, I found a pretty nasty problem. If you die/continue after burning the hookshot target/burnable bush, but before pressing the switch at the other side of the cave, you get warped back to the entrance of your house. If this happens, you can NOT reach that cave again due to your hookshot target no longer being there. This means you cannot reach the switch that lowers the pegs, which means you cannot complete the sidequest for the Timeshift Serenade. Granted, the cave is incredibly short and easy, so you practically have to be trying to trigger the problem, but it's there nonetheless.

 

Suggested fix: Add a normal hookshot target next to the burnable bush, just in case something like that happens.

LOL You're welcome, just made it back to level 3 myself after my zc.sav became corrupt.

 

Gonna get the white sword at least before i finish tonight.

Hey, guys, you know those Crystal Octoroc (Crystaroc?) enemies that mess with your items? Quess what! They can also force you do drink one of your incredibly rare/expensive potions while you only lost two hearts. Haha! *grumble grumble...*

Yeah, those guys are dicks!  They killed me with my own super bomb numerous times!

o i just got the hook shot from level 3 but now i have no keys and i guess i have to find the boss key now but i don't even know where that is i'm stumped again i have been trying to find something for about 2 hours

Merk... Well, I guess I should count myself lucky for not being arsed to go back to Level 2 to get more Super Bombs then. Ah well, at least they're just as vulnerable to Door Hax as just about everything sans Bomb Stalfos.

Remember that 2d part you've gone through several times now, where there's a screen with three Ghinis (the Ghosts)? Kill them. This should spawn a key, allowing you to access a new part of the dungeon.

i had to hit the green switch in the middle of the lava where the boss door is at

Blast! In the dungeon of trials now, but forgot a like like ate my shield.

 

Any ideas where I can get another?

 

Not done level 4 yet, so can't go to the snow fall shop. And I got the shield thats below level1 .
