You can look up any quest's entire soundtrack (usually in rough order of appearance) from the drop-down menu that appears when you freeze the game. I forget where, exactly, but it's under something like "Music" or "MIDIs".

This is wrong. He even at one time summoned three times in a row.

 

 

Edit: Four times in a row just now in the third phase.

Whelp everything seems to be breaking. I don't even have it in me to be surprised at this point anymore. Congrats on finishing the dungeon at least.

I tried in both 2.5.0 and 2.5.2, same story. I honestly can't beat him if he fills the screen with these guys.

Tapping the cane on and off easily dispatches them. The ancient ring from ??? will more or less ensure you always have magic to do so too.

The Death Knights are truly the thing that makes this battle so difficult.

 

Good timing with the staff is crucial here, but even then, there's the probability that they'll block your attack. It gets impossible if he's summoning death knights like you say. Most playthroughs where I see this boss beaten usually always seem to co-exist with fairer Death Knight spawns.  

 

Also, be sure not to exaggerate. Are the Death Knights really spawning as much as you say? Or do they just "feel" like they do. It's easy to get caught up in frustration with this boss and blow things out of proportion. Anybody who saw my streams are well aware of how I blew things out of proportion. Just a little. :P

I'm dead serious. At one point, he stopped, summoned two, two seconds later he stopped, summoned two more and two seconds later he stopped and summoned two more. There was six death knights on the screen in less than ten seconds.

 

I wish i was making this up, but i'm serious.

This boss is scripted to continue summoning as long as there are Death Knights out on the field. 

 

It means you're not killing them fast enough.

It was. Apparently the update doesn't work though.

The patch notes specifically said that he supposed to summon them less often and never twice in a row. The opposite is happening. Several times i killed them and he just summoned more right after, right after he had just summoned.

It's worth noting that, at very low HP, he tends to chain one summon into another as a single attack. Also worth nothing that, unless Evan changed it in an update, he tends to use attacks he thinks you're bad at handling more often, so if you can't deal with the death knights, he'll pick up on it and weight his RNG towards more summoning.
