I'm playing the most recent version (as the one from 23-07-2015), got all 30 hearts, but the door is still closed. I'm playing on ZC 2.5.0 by the way.

I forgot Prismatic Gate Venser. Yes, he's probably the hardest in the game. I didn't even bother.

I didn't think he was as bad as Stan, personally.

Winning strategy

1. As soon as the battle starts, charge a Hurricane Spin. Interrupted? F6. Expect this to happen a lot, but not always.
2. Unleash hell on Venser and any Wizzrobes he's spawned. This should send him into phase 2 (listen for the chuckle) before the attack ends - if it doesn't, though, just attack him until you send him over the edge. Need a potion long before this happens? F6.
3. Spam Powder Kegs on him. Failing at this step is rare.

Also, remember that his red energy blasts (the ones that chase you) are biased toward the middle of the screen with their vertical aim. Therefore, if he uses them, sticking to the top or bottom wall is a great way to avoid them.

Stupid question but have you tried completely closing ZC and reopening it? Someone else a while back experienced a freak bug that was unreproducable but was fixed by doing that.

That's... really strange. Doesn't look to me like you're missing anything other than the bonus boss rewards.

I really have no idea what's wrong. I'd suggest try updating the quest file just to be absolutely sure that you're on the most recent build, but I'm at a loss.

EDIT: If you F6'd during the credits, it might be possible that the game didn't mark the flag that thinks you've beaten the game. Which doesn't explain how you're in the hall of memories to begin with. I'm really grasping at straws here.

I redownloaded the quest file and replaced the one in the ZC folder. Still same problem. Also, i didn't F6'd during the credits. I'm playing on normal by the way.

 

Welp, guess the game thinks i don't deserve to fight the boss or something.

If nothing else, you should still be able to start Blighted Abyss unless that trigger is somehow broken too.

EDIT: Just to clarify, we're talking about the same door in the left lobby (with the 16 pots) right, not the one with the items you buy to enter.

Yes, i know it's the door to the left of the entrance.

 

So, i just tried in 2.5.2 ZC version and the door is opened. It has to be some bug with the 2.5.0 version.

And nevermind. This boss is way too hard for me. Guess it was a waste of time to make it work.
