The sphere is controlling the storm on Tepidus Isle. To get to the island, head south from the village on raft and take the left path. Then, you can clear Turtle Rock

The golden chests contain very valuable items. In order to unlock them, you'll need an enchanted key.


Out of curiosity, has anyone found the second song, the Timeshift Serenade? It makes travel quite a bit easier.

So, I made it through Turtle Rock, got the boss key and warped to the Fairy Caves... and am greeted by some kind of blinking green sphere? It hurts me on contact and is impervious to anything I can do. Am I missing something?

 

EDIT: On a simiilar note; what's with all these unopenable golden chests spread around in random caves?

 

Im glad someone made it through turtle rock… Im diving in tis back, and then getting all confused by the creatures that mess with your equipped items… then die randomly to my own super bomb… not nice.

 

When I finally do make it past them, end up in a room with 4 blue dark nuts that kill you very quickly. Really need some help with this.

 

Blue tunic somewhere?  Also, you mention the time shift serenade… maybe useful to have it… turtle rock is upsetting me.

Well, here's a new place. Remember the Training Grounds from way at the beginning of the game? This is pretty much the same, except that it's mazier and far longer. I don't think I can complete it quite yet though; I think I'll need the hammer to get to that last switch... Damn these half-completable places! XD

 

Also, no, I don't have the Timeshift Serenade yet. Does it allow you to warp to those Owl Statues pread around the overworld?

So, let me get this straight. The entrances to Level 5 are spread out on the far corners of the Overworld? As in, it takes several minutes to get from one to the other on foot? Okay, I want the Timeshift Serenade now >_<

 

EDIT: Never mind, I think I'm on its track now .

What exactly am I supposed to do to complete turtle rock? I know there are different entrances, but not sure where they all are.

From what I remember, there's the main entrance (which is found easily enough) and at this point in time three secondary entrances, all of which are initially reached through a small cave in the Present. There's one in the the turtle's eye, one in the turtle's back (that is, Present-day Turtle Rock. slightly NW of where the game started), and I forgot about the third one.

 

EDIT: NEver mind it, I found another entrance to Level 5. I completely forgot about the tiny thing that's the Western Shrine >_>

 

Also also, I just realized something... The Ocean OW theme is a remix of Skullman's theme! Well, that one's almost unrecognizable XD

For most of the text, the old person is speaking about multiple Fairies. Then, in the last sentence, s/he shifts into singular, as if there's only one fairy.

ok i am at  level 3 and there is a part where you have to do 2d ladder jumping  not the first time but the second time and the ladder is way to small for me to get on

Are you holding up the entire time? If so, stop doing that; it roughly halves your forward speed. Only hold the direction you're supposed to go in, then press Up to latch onto ladders as you pass them.

In lv 5, got the Ember seeds and 2 keys after that, cant figure out where to go next; can't access the Death Mountain entrance, and can't do anything in the Temple Of Time entrance

It sort of goes back and forth though. You should probably do the main entrance first. The other three entrances (Turtle eye, Turtle Back, other place I forgot) were too chaotic for me to remember the exact order. Note that most of the side entrances eventually lead back into the main chamber.

 Go just outside the city where the ToT is, then swim back on that same screen (where you would normally enter the city on foot). For some reason you're not allowed to swim across on any of the other screens to the south. Either way, this should lead you to the water just outside the city. From the water, go one screen south of the ToT

Yeah, I'm guilty of that one too. The fact that there's an obvious (but false) target in the form of that eye doesn't help either >_>.
