I'm not at all surprised. Glaceon is really good at ZC.
very nice im one lvl behind him lvl 8 is getting me stumped the passage areas i can go to is leading me to dead ends the begging of the lvl and i see a key door but got no key in there yet unless im missing another passage somewhere in there

It kinda counts as cheating since I recall most from the Expo build. On the other hand Lv7 took longer than it should have.
I'm not doing Hero Mode for this run either, not sure if I really want to even try it in the end. It's not the levels, it's the bosses that I doubt I'll be able to get through.

Yeah, I shifted the focus of the difficulty away from the enemies themselves and put it more on the bosses.
I wanted to make Dark Souls in ZC. No not really, but I've gotten that comparison more than a few times.

You may or may not be able to whittle him away with arrows. They don't deal a lot of damage, but they can slowly grind down phase 1.

Yeah, I figured you'd like it more. Almost everybody likes 5 better than 4. Part of it's probably that way back two years ago, when Evan first sent me the beta of level 5, it was terrible and I had to keep telling him how awful it was at parts until he fixed it. It's not bad anymore, but the PTSD still lingers to this day.

The fun part is I found Level 4 very original, but for some odd reason I don't enjoyed that level at all. Probably it's the fact that I was stuck one hour in level 4, because of that totem room with the bombable wall...

Not major, no, it just repeats a bunch of dialogue if you enter an area you go to after level nine is over. As far as I'm aware it's an area you won't ever have to reenter, so unless I'm wrong it's just a minor annoyance at worst.

Found a bug: Where you fight the Golden Moblin. If you kill him, leave and come back in right away, he doesn't respawn and the door locks you in. I was using him to grind when it happened.
