Oh that bug. It's an issue with the pit script. Simply F6 continue and it should be fixed.

Is this the script used for holes? Maybe replacing
Link->DrawXOffset -= Cond(Link->DrawXOffset < 0, -1000, 1000);
Link->HitXOffset -= Cond(Link->HitXOffset < 0, -1000, 1000);
with
Link->DrawXOffset = 0;
Link->HitXOffset = 0;
would fix it.

I'll be implementing the new level 6 boss sometime later tonight (and attempt that pit script change.) Family things going on today.

Pits may or may not have been fixed.

Level 6 has gotten a massive overhaul. It should flow better, and it now has a scripted boss.

However, do not update the quest if you are already playing it. There has been a global script change, so if you update the quest now it may cause strange things to happen. You can start a new save file and be ok.

I added to the quest brief that it gets fairly difficult toward the end.

Since Evan has been rather busy lately I took it upon myself to script up a more suitable boss for Level 6 today. Hopefully that'll be added soon. This quest gets rather frustrating in the Level 6-7 area, but I do hope you'll stick with it. Levels 8 and 9 more than make up for it in my opinion.

I was mad with level 6 and I forgot totally about making a backup xD

I'm near the end of level 7, I will give a last chance. I hope you are right. I died only 15 times, but I hate when a quest is trolling me repeating the same actions and screens >.< It's not fair punishing the player that way.

I want to like this quest, but it has lots of questionable decisions and unnecessary frustrations.

I can't seem to find the candle. I'm going through the Lost Woods(Light) and I need to burn down this bush, but I don't have the lantern. Where may I get it?

There are two entrances to Lost Woods in the field.

Assuming the only changes made were my boss script and the fixed pit script this shouldn't be a problem as I don't believe either of them added or changed any global variables. The header I added only contained constants and functions so that should be fine.

I got through the first three dungeons, and got the Master Sword, and I like it a lot so far. The dungeons really feel a lot like AlttP. The extra scripts are a nice touch too. Good stuff :)

The level 7 boss is a BAD joke, I'm not willing to overcome it. If the boss isn't changed, I will have to abandon the quest. The boss is so absurd that by itself justifies a zero rating.

I can't believe it. Bad quest territory here.

Do you still have the L2 sword or something? The boss of Turtle Rock is terrible as a boss, but as far as difficulty goes I found it incredibly easy. If you're having too much trouble, you can go out and get the L4 sword in the desert to the east.

I have the L3 sword, the worst part are the callers, it's simply too much. The problem isn't that I can't beat him, but I consider that the boss is an insult to my intelligence, is simply unacceptable. Dumb. Unbalanced. Ridiculous. Doesn't have sense.

Like I said before, you can use the L4 sword to make the fight significantly easier, but if it's just splitting and summoning enemies that you hate, I suppose you won't like the last two dungeons. They continue being a thing.

I beat it. Took me seven minutes in my good try... .-. It's hyper long and tedious.

My gripes are:
-Lots of shutters rooms.
-If you die, you will have to repeat lots of rooms (with shutters). This is called bad design.
-Abuse of the darkness gimmick.
-Ridiculous custom enemies. Unfair callers, running like likes, splitting enemies...
-Repetitive and uninspired design.
-"Troll rooms" with nothing inside.
-Lots of enemies per screen.
-There are very few rooms with refilling pots, there isn't rest.

Until level 6, the quest had an ALTTP feel and was tolerable and decently balanced. But these two last levels... I don't have any fun or satisfaction beating them. The last levels don't have any resemblance with ALTTP. It's only about beating unbalanced enemies.
