Alright, well now I'm short a key in the Sun Shrine. I got the one from the room with the higher area and the one from the room with the block puzzle, but I need another to open the door to the left in that one room north of the entrance.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it.

Now I'm past level 2, and loving it so far. This is an awesome quest. I'm glad I'm finally getting around to playing it icon_smile.gif The humor and music choices in it are also spot on for me too. Good work Rambly.

Playing this quest, finished level 4

Wow, this quest is awesome. I wasn't expecting much from it. What a masterpiece! Placement of secrets is very clever. The immersion is top notch, graphics + music + sfx = pure win. Congratulations Rambly!!

Stuck in level 3.  In room with 4 push blicks, 3 of which ill go in 2 directions, 1 goes in only one.  There is a doorway, that leads to the arrow right past the door.  In Eppy's walkthrough, he has some statues in this place; doing to the blocks what he does to the statues, does not help at all. How do I get through that door?  Thanks.

Hi zcgranny !!  I knw how to push those blocks only thing I can't find the room where you at,, can u post a pic ??

remember beating this a while back but don't recall any problem moving any of those blocks...!

think I found the place, you must push three block from outside and the last one sideway!

after work I'll post a pic , wath this pst later on for the pic, or try as I said

from out push this way ...  from west to east, , from north to south,, from east to west, and get next to lst block  use side stepplader and push!

Ah, yeah.  I changed the puzzle because some people complained it was too obtuse/confusing beforehand… there was a hint about the puzzle in another part of the game, but I didn't think that it was very good design to have the solution to a puzzle be very hard-to-reach.

For the people that have encountered it: Was the new puzzle all right?  I think it's the kind of thing one could potentially figure out on their own, at least…

one hard task though, is to find the "silver arrow", thanks to the advise of my friend  "chiefbigcalf" on the past... I was able to find that silver arrow, the  lens of true, don't help on this, and you need to go trough caves, narrow passages, shorcuts, etc,etc , hard to find,, let me know when you need it and I'll tell you where to enter"""""' :wacky: :wacky:

Just realized that the Evil Trap Room in the Undeath Tree has been broken for nearly two years.

Update coming soon. I should have hired more beta testers, probably. And beta testers at all that tested beyond the first two dungeons. Ha ha ha. Ha.

(FYI, it wasn't their fault they didn't test beyond the first two dungeons -- I didn't even release any betas/alphas to anyone beyond the first two dungeons.)

So, man. I'm replaying this quest, and I'm realizing it has quite a few design flaws:

1) There are block puzzles.

There are other design flaws, of course, but that's the biggest one that sticks out in my mind and the one most worth mentioning.

So what changes did you do for the current version? Only bugfixes? I was thinking on replaying your quest soon.

Mostly bugfixes.  There are a few really minor cosmetic things and a couple of rooms that I thought were cheap/unfair that I changed slightly.  Nothing terribly exciting, but a few of the bugs in the quest had been lingering around for an appallingly long time (almost two years!), so I figured it was time for an update.  There's a full list of changes in the little HTML notes document that comes with the download, if you wanna check that out.

Hey, I started playing this and I'm in the Sun Shrine and I'm wondering why I can only hold 2 bombs, seeing as how there are 2 Dodongos. Did I miss the chance to hold more bombs?

There's a lone jade-ish-colored tree you can set on fire in Whimsy Woods.  It's a screen south of the screen where you go to Canyonero, I think.

 

Then you can hold 6 bombs!  Only 6!  In a mini-dungeon where you need to use bombs a lot!  And you can't get to 10 'til after you beat the Sun Shrine!  Ha ha!  That was a good design decision on my behalf, the person who makes good design decisions, me!  At least I put a lot of bombs in the Sun Shrine... I think...
