Well, I was going to take a break from HoD (well... not really a break, but HoD's not going to be the only quest I'm currently playing - I decided to see if I can actually get through Hidden Duality... for once)... But when I am playing HoD, I'd really like to stop the 2.10 midi bug.

For me, minimizing ZC while the music is still playing and clicking anywhere on the screen, then maximizing ZC works to fix the midi bug. I don't know if that will work for all computers, but you should give it a try.

Hmmm... never thought of that one theryan. Well, what I figured out is that in most quests is a midi or two which cause the 2.10 midi bug to do what it does. These "cursed" midi's dont seem to sound messed up when heard in the zelda-w player when playing a quest but as soon as you enter a different d map with a different midi is when you can tell its screwed up. So what do you do? You dodge the cursed midi in each quest. The only hard part is finding which midi's do this. In the hero of dreams it is the music in the library in autumn town. I think there may be one more, but i'm not sure. If you have to go in to the library or another house that has this music you do eveything needed in the house, exit, save your game, exit out of the program and go back in. This may be a pain, but thankfully, Shoelace made it so that you will pretty much start at the las d map you were at if you save your game. This trick works great when youre at a dungeon because then you don't have to go into a house with the cursed midi. And for any link to Tortuga players out there, the cursed midi is the one in the swamp so after you beat level 2 you should be fine. icon_thumbsup.gif (Back on topic) Having trouble getting the 2nd candle in level 4. Got past the room with the aquatamentus which needed a key. I unlocked the door to find another locked door which I can't find the key for. If my position isn't too confusing, any hints are thanked.

I am back! Miss me! Anyways, let me get to your question:

In the 4th level. The last two keys are here: For both you have to go to the bottom-right most Flip Room of the level and make the brown blocks go down. Return to the entrance. For the first key go in the warp just before entrance and then go south where the brown blocks used to be. For the second key go north of the entrance and follow the path. Hope that helps.

Actually, in HoD, it's in most of the MIDI's. Theryan's trick works for me, though. Sometimes, I also just save the game, close and reload ZC, and the MIDI bug in the area I was in will, most of the time, not show up when I reload the quest, but Theryan's trick works well, though, too.

Also, the Beta 10 layer trigger bug... That is fixed in Betas 11+, right? (I have 12d)

Thanks Shoelace. Got the last key and the red candle and am currently getting my butt kicked by the boss. Can you get the blue mail before fighting him? Because I need a bit of defensive boost to make up for my lack of zelda playing ability.

Yes you can actually. You aren't supposed to know about it yet, but I will let you know. Play the Ocarina in front of the Link statue in Autumn Town. And you will get the blue tunic.

heheheh... Will it screw up the game later on? Because I'm thinking about exiting Level 5 to go back and get it real quick.

Also, how do I get the items in Level 5? I have the Big Key already

No, it is just you aren't supposed to know about the blue tunic, it won't ruin anything at all, because you actually need to get it. There are hints I drop in the village that points to it when you beat the 4th level. And after the 5th level they basically tell you to go there. So get it.

Anyways, on the fire floor go to the bottom left part of the floor. Use your two keys to go east to the mini boss The Spirit of Passion. You will get the first item there. Then go to the Water floor boss to get second item. You have to do it in that order though.

Having a bit of trouble. I need to go to all of the link statues and get the items from the heroes. I got 2 of them already. The blue tunic and the book. Now i'm at the one in the forest but can't go very far. I read the hint to use the recorder in certain spots bt could only find one which leads me to a screen with a broken bridge which is uncrossable and in the next screen you can't go anywhere else because there are blocks in the way and the switch is out of reach. A hint would be thanked.

See that mirror towards the north wall? Push it down so that it's lined up with the switch and use the wizzrobes to deflect the magic off the mirror to hit the switch. That will lower the blocks

If you notice, you can play the Ocarina almost everywhere in the forest and it will change back and forth from the dark world to the light world.

Oh! ok. I thought you could only use it where the 9 flowers were suspiciously arranged.

Edit Having trouble in the isle of seasons. In the winter part there is a one eyed bug just sitting there whcih you can normally shoot with an arrow to make something happen but no matter how many times I hit it nothing else happens! Is there something else I have to do on the screen to make this work or do I need a better arrow? I currently have the first one.

You will need silver arrows it hit those bugs. From that screen go east of the way in the fall season. It will lead to the silver arrows. Hope that helps.
