Regular bombs could use a switch too now that I think about it.

 

I personally like the ZC 2.10 standard subscreen setup still (minus the Goddess Spells one). Sword -> Boomerang -> Bombs -> Arrows -> Candle -> Ocarina works pretty nice. Going left from Boomerang (assuming Sword is in the other slot) works pretty well too as you have Hammer, Lens and Hookshot that way.

 

The only issue I have with the standard ZC setup is the Super Bomb placement. It seems no matter where you put them you always have a high chance of using them by mistake unless the nearby items are scarcely used.

 

 

Regardless I'll get used to this one eventually. Still faster to scroll like 6 times than pausing the game still.

 

 

On a sidenote: When typing Purezc in the searchbar, the second thing it suggests for me is "purezc isle of rebirth". Guess it's quite popular now. it's suggested even before "purezc forums" and "purezc quests".

May I please have a hint of where I need to go next? I beat level 7 not too long ago and I've combed all around in the overworld and I can't seem to find where to go. I think I need the full triforce to get past the blocks with Ganon below level 7, the shutter door a couple of screens below level 4 is still closed, the rainforest proved to be something I need to do at a later point in the game, as well as the grey dungeon in the southern part of North Remdra, and there are purple blocks blocking the rest of the new areas.

Actually, the rainforest is where you're supposed to be. Sort of. Go to the top left screen of the rainforest and swim up from there into a new area of Northern Remdra.

First, I must say amazing quest, I've been plugging away at it for two days now and recently defeated level 4. That boss was alot of fun to play! Temple was kinda annoying as I kept getting lost and stuck... but atleast it wasn't like level 3's boss ... that guy was just annoying to beat   I've also named him Hoppy McFirepants.
All in all I'm enjoying the quest Recently found the wallet upgrade and got the raft, now collecting rupees to get the red candle! Atleast I was before my computer decided to update itself without me knowing... godsdamned windows

Okay, just asking, is there an easy way to beat Venser at the end of level 9? I need that cane, and I'm not waiting 3 more levels and an entire bonus dungeon more to get it!

Super Bombs certainly don't make it easy, but they help. General strategy is to use the wand in the first phase, staying out of his line of sight at all costs. Don't just rush in with super bombs; save them for the later part of the fight to clear out the enemies and hurt him too. You want as many super bombs as possible left for when he goes into the second phase of the fight, because it rapidly goes downhill from there if you don't kill him fast. How many super bombs can I carry at one time? Money is not a problem, because I can farm the golden moblin for money.

It's supposed to be 1/4 of whatever your max bombs is (for instance, if you can hold 8 bombs, you can hold 2 super bombs), but I know it broke in a recent update for some reason so you might be able to hold more than that.

Okay, I am having a lot of trouble, despite your advice. I have 8 Powder kegs, a lot of bombs, A big magic meter, the red tunic, the obisidian ring, the wand, and everything I should have. Would it be possible for me to provide the link for it and you try? Im sorry, but I just suck at this fight XD

On normal mode I just used all my super bombs immediately, then sword spammed him. He probably does too much damage for this to work on Hero, but all the crap happening after he gets serious makes it too hard to land hits with super bombs I think.

I think the super bombs are meant to handle the spam of enemies in phase 2. I dunno. Lol
