Question, are there randomizer situations where it is impossible to get 100% of all items?

I completed abbout einght runs, but I actually got stuck on the second to last run in Solstice with a bug.

Unwinnable seeds pop up sometimes but are usually the result of a bug. The randomizer does have some flawed logic with regards to triggers behind triggers behind triggers, but the having multiple items for each trigger type usually resolves these situations.

I figured out a work around involving the chaos spell. Found some crazy bosses in those portals.

I'd also recommend playing a run on difficult before normal, as a lot of the enemy behaviours somewhat build on each other. Sadistic is... well, quite tough, and not something I'd recommend for a first time run of any of the labyrinths (I'm one of the co-creators and I find it difficult to play on at times, especially on fragmented). As you said, Yuurand is a big quest, and the iceberg of difficult content goes quite deep. When phrases like "NBD TE Low% SadRogue" starting making sense to you, you know you've fallen deep down the rabbit hole.

I still believe we should just start using MAX as a simplification for a specific set of abbreviations to keep discussions regarding that particular brand of brain damage from looking like a medical document.

I completed my first run! Great first impression!

About 1/4 into the run, I changed the difficulty from normal to difficult.

I have two question before I begin another run.

Right before the final area in the "???" room: the bottom room is the library, the left room has the portal to the final boss, and the right and north rooms with a staff and sword are blocked off. Is there anything I can do to unlock those rooms in this run, or will they unlock in another run?

I found all 8 cursed souls, but I don't know what they do. Maybe I missed something in the text. What do the cursed souls do?

Basically the three paths there lead to different final areas. If you're doing a story mode then that determines which one you get. Otherwise you'll have a choice of two with the mask path being always open and the other one being determined by the last digit of the seed.

Like Moosh said, the doors are open/closed based on either story mode (each story ends in one of them) or seed (if story is off, the left door is alwats open, and either the right or north is). BUT the cursed skulls/souls are required to open the portals on the other side of those doors.

The challenge area Willville or Asphodel (or if they're arenas, the plant themed areas) have a large flower hidden somewhere in the area. Use ingrain on top of the flower with all eight. That will open the corresponding door (souls ope the north door, skulls the right door, determined by either the story or the seed). You only have to do this the first time; the portal will stay on for future runs once you've defeated the final boss behind it.

By the way, what character did you play? Story mode? Did you find the funny statue in the final area?

I just left everything on random for my first run.

My first character was Hito. His flame form was useless at first as it drained too much mana too quickly, but it became invaluable towards the latter half of the run.

Game map was Yuurand.

Story mode was on.

Are you talking about the statue in the upper right corner of the map that makes the final boss stronger? Yes. I fought the normal final boss first, then the enhanced version. I liked how Pall transformed into common fears during the second phase.

I fought the enhanced version of Venser and made it to his final attack twice; so close.

Just an update on the super Venser fight. I've made it past the super water and lightning attack about four time now. Venser breaks the glass floor and continues to fight you. I'm guessing I'm very close to defeating him.

If you don't mind me asking, how much more life does Venser have at that point? Should I have the mindset to try and endure a long final phase, or are his hit points low enough for me to put every buff spell on and go hyper aggressive on him?

If you don't mind me asking, how much more life does Venser have at that point? Should I have the mindset to try and endure a long final phase, or are his hit points low enough for me to put every buff spell on and go hyper aggressive on him?

He has a decent amount of health, but not -that- much. Trying to burst him without care for your own survival could end disastrously if you're not careful. You're out of the elemental cycles though, so all that's left is to cross the finish line. Fair warning, he has some new tricks from here on out and I'm kind of a shithead.

15,000 HP with some small modifiers based on other things in the fight so far. It's actually not nearly as much as it sounds like given how big a target he is that the fact that the hands transfer (reduced) damage to the main body as well without triggering iframes on the body.
