Fffuuuuu.. I want that! But the feather can be in any part of the world ,_, Killing all the enemies again in all the screens would be extremely tedious.

Hitodama have a way to know in what zones you are missing these little things

Have you found the one in the grass with the push blocks? Have you got the one in the ice caves with the hammer triggers? Have you gotten all 4 in Sun Tower? Have you gotten the one in the room after beating Hauntrock? Have you gotten the one with a bridge and a lavafall? Have you checked all the random blocks in the overworld and killed all the enemies there?

Thanks for the help. Now I seem to be stranded in Miasma Keep because it looks like I need the hookshot to get out. Is there a way out that I'm missing?

 

schoochie: Have you explored the Miasma Keep yet? If not, you'll want to head into the cave north of Gaius after talking to Oslev.

The way out is further inside! Look for a second set of blocks/switches to let you escape.

Where can I get me a tower shield? 4 times have I changed the weather and ran to kill frosty darknuts and then eastern plains darknuts with no luck. No clue if I should keep trying or do something else.

Frosty Darknuts drop it. Sounds like you're having some bad luck with it though.

Can anyone confirm it drops in the latest patch? I'm going for my 7th run. I get frosty stuff from the bombs, I always get a frog egg on the way too, but the darknuts refuse to drop it.

 

Is is because I'm not destroying the shield with the hammer?

It drops. Eppy got one on stream last night. Looking at the file, it appears to be a 1/20 drop chance. I'm open to raising it a little bit in an update though.

 

EDIT: It'll be 1/13 in the next update.

I got it just now. 1/20 is way too low. I only have time to kill 6 or so after running from the weather guy.

 

The weather system in general is something I'm not a fan of. Natural weather seems extremely rare, the fact that a bead is consumed means you NEED a lanmola on your route, and the search for a fire heart and now this shield can be frustrating because most of your weather time is spent GETTING to a grind spot, let alone grinding.

 

Weather time could be extended, drop chances raised, or natural weather more frequent. Maybe I just had bad luck, but acquiring this shield was frustrating and killed a lot of the game's pace

How about I increase the duration of the weather from the bead so you have more time to do whatever you want with it? It's already at 5 minutes, how does 8 sound?

 

EDIT: Oh man, I fucked up. The weather duration is currently broken at 2 minutes if you talk to the NPC from any direction but south (impossible). It'll be up to 5 in the update, let me know how that works alongside the increase droprates.

I have to say I really like the weather system though.
