Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the yellow Magic Book upgrade causes the magic and fire sprites to look like Wooden Swords! I'm guessing you just forgot to set up the sprites when making the second book item.
Haven't run into any gameplay-related bugs though, just occasional graphical oddities (like the sword-shooting wand and stairs underneath push blocks not showing up with the Lens.) Oh, and the Cane of Byrna is basically useless with a magic cost, unless it does insane damage to things or something (after seeing just how quick it drains magic, I turned it off immediately and haven't tried again when I was close enough to an enemy to find out.)
I just cleared out the Boulder Pit dungeon, which makes 5 Triforce pieces total so far (Anchor Point, Tree Fort, Death Dunes, the one that looked like a ladder and was full of Darknuts and for some reason the name just escapes me right now, and Boulder Pit in that order. Well, mostly in that order; I cleared out all but a few rooms of Death Dunes before beating the Tree Fort because I forgot how to get back to the Tree Fort for a while. XD) Haven't found another dungeon yet, but am liking the exploration-ness of it. Usually the spacebar map just bugs me, but with such a huge overworld I've actually found myself using it to re-find stuff I came across before and not minding at all.
It's also pretty interesting to play through a game made with my own tileset--it's definitely the same tileset (aside from some new custom tiles that have been added in) but different people use the same tileset very differently so there's still moments where I end up surprised to see something.
EDIT: Oh, just remembered another thing. The crown you have to give to the Darknut at one point is still called "Bait" on the subscreen's "use B button for this" area. Same goes with the lantern being called the Red Candle.
