captlagnaf, if you remember where the Blue Ring was in the Second Quest of the original Legend of Zelda, then you are in good shape. To paraphrase a quote from Abei, "Secret is behind the tree at the dead end." ("Eastmost peninsula is the secret," and, "Secret is in the tree at the dead-end," possibly refer to the secret location I am referring to, but Abei was very vague in the English localizations of Legend of Zelda.)
vravelo, what do you mean by "boosted level seven before level six", and how did you obtain the Power Gloves (i.e. Level 3 Bracelet, with the Level 1 Bracelet equivalent to the "Worn-out Glove" of BS The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets and the Level 2 Bracelet equivalent to the Power Bracelet of the original Legend of Zelda)?

The Power Gloves (Level 3 Bracelet) should be in Level 8, not in Level 7, and you would not be able to obtain them without both the Ladder from Level 7 and the Wand from Level 6.

I got the hint about the magic sword in level 5 and found the place but it looks like I need the hammer to get in. Did I miss it somewhere or will I find it in level 6?

You will need something from Level 6 to explore the Magic Sword Palace, but it is not the Hammer. Once you obtain the first dungeon item from Level 6, use it on the purple statuettes.

The dreaded Level 2 Wall Masters, right? I suggest you wait for the Wall Master to start sliding along the wall before you strike in order to push it back. If you charge in, you will likely get grabbed.

Re: the Lv2 Wall Masters, slash as they come into you and use the invincibility frames to run through them. Specifically the first one you run into in Level 6 I don't think can be knocked back when they come from the right (unless I'm timing it all wrong).
