The quest got off to a slow start, but the dark world levels have a lot of meat to them. I'm enjoying it so far. Coincidentally similar (dark world) level 1 to Promised Lands, which also had an annoying darkness gimmick. I also had a potion disappear on me. No idea what caused it. Didn't replace it with another potion, it was just gone entirely. Pretty sure I didn't use it by accident.

Is that supposed to happen? I made the signal, but you can just walk over that block and nothing happens. You're trapped in that room.

Its seem you got the wrong way.. start signaling on the carpet, use flute and that block show up, but that's it!

that block don't help and I be force to use F6 ,, kinda complications in here

Oh, right right right you're in the other part of the dungeon. Gotcha. Yeah, you can just go through that southern door into the tall room and get out that way.

You can“t get out that way because of the big hole. But if you save the game standing with the hole, then you will restart at entrance. Maybe you could add a one way push block there beside the hole.

Okay. Well, looks like I have a couple little things to fix. That block is supposed to be solid.

Edit: I fixed the non-solid block and the area where you could get trapped. I also made the potions set a 30-frame (half-second) item jinx so that it's harder to use them by mistake. The quest file has been updated.

Level 6:

They are in the lost Woods(Light World). Look for a water area in there.

I think you forgot the level name at the start of dark world level 2. It's still on the mini map, but the dungeon intro just says "Level 2". And the music has a long silence at the end of it.

That's a ZQuest problem I couldn't figure out! No matter how many times I tried to enter the temple name, it just doesn't stick for some reason. It seems to just occur on DMap 13. The first line stays, but the second just gets cleared. It doesn't look right in ZQuest, either, despite many tries to fix it. I'll see if I can figure it out.

The music has a silence because ZC is not good at looping enhanced music.

That's one of the reason I still prefer midis.

Well, after completing four dungeons in the Dark World, I can say safely that this quest has an annoying flaw in the dungeons design. Absence of shorcuts. There are some, but aren't enough.

Die before getting the big key in Level 2 or Level 4 (Dark World Levels)... you will traverse lot of screens, repeating the same actions. It's a bit annoying. Bosses, in general, are very far from the entrance. Luckily, I died very few times, so it doesn't bother me too much.

I recommend to make the Level 3 boss (Dark World) a bit more easy. I killed him in the first try, but it's a bit overwhelming.

I love the mirror, it's an amazing feature. The quest is fun in general terms.

I'm starting the level 5. Is it normal at this point of time that I don't have yet the third sword?

PD: Nevermind, I found the sword, lol.

I don't like the mirror marks on the floor, they aren't necessary. I would like to find those secrets by myself =(

Edit: Ice Palace ROCKS

Evan20k has volunteered to come up with a better boss for Level 6, because I wholly agree that it's kind of lame the way it is.

That whole level is kind of lame. Splitting enemies in kill rooms is the worst thing, and why is there ice? Level 5 was the ice dungeon!

Speaking of level 5, going up the stairs from basement 2 into basement 1 confuses the map. It thinks you're on floor 1. Maybe another ZQuest bug?

Well, up to 58 deaths and have all the items except for one medallion. Now it's just a matter of getting to the end in one piece.

I found the secret tunnel and pretty much finished with it except for the boss fight. (but man, it was very challenging even with the red mail, especially with those red eyes striking at you all over the place, followed up by those fast knights.)

It's not the toughest quest I've ever played, but it's one of them.
