I beat him! I beat your Ganon. icon_love.gif First try, but I used up both my Blue and Red Potion and it was the only part in the game that required me to use the Potion. Two questions: One, did you just stick a Ganon-shaped FFC on top of the actual, invisible Ganon sprite, and alter hitboxes/collision detection using the script? I only ask because if that's how Ganon actually moves in the original game, that is QUITE fascinating. I had always assumed he just randomly reappears around the room, not that he actually glides around at various angles.

And two, again out of curiosity, what parts of the script were "problematic" that had to be removed and couldn't be workaround'd? The boss battle was SOLID even without those parts, so I just have to wonder what I was missing out on that could have possibly changed it.

Anyway... I beat Antiquity, and I am very happy. icon_love.gif This is one of those games I would replay multiple times down the road every few months, and that I would not get tired of... especially since I still can't find one of the Heart Containers, nor many of the Overworld secrets period. icon_ohmy.gif (I did find your 100-Rupee Stash though. Hehehe.)

I definitely think you have succeeded in creating one of the most memorable Classic Quests of all time, right up there next to AlphaDawg's U3Q. A thousand salutes. icon_thumbsup.gif icon_thumbsup.gif icon_thumbsup.gif Everybody I know should play this-- it would be the first thing I introduce people to who haven't heard of Zelda Classic, and then I would watch their awed reactions the whole way.

No, totally scripted. If you want to see how he moves in the original, look here: http://kobe-ug.hp.in...zelda_ganon.htm (Japanese, but illustrated)
That's how he moves in the NES game, at least. I haven't checked, but I doubt his movement in ZC is the same.

Just the intro. It was made to match the original as closely as I could. Specifically, the part about holding up the Triforce. In RC1, FFCs don't run when Link is holding up an item, so it screwed up the timing pretty badly.

WHOA. Goodness, this is fascinating. This would have made my NES 1st Quest run a LOT cleaner if I knew this beforehand-- thankfully I still have to record 2nd Quest~ icon_biggrin.gif Thank you! (For like, the 10th time lately XD)

What... FFCs run when he's holding up items now? icon_eek.gif Geez, yeah okay, there's several parts in my scripts I'll need to tweak now. No problem though, I'm just glad I know now. (Oh, or do you plan on changing it back? Or do you know yet?)

UUUUUNNNNGGGGGHHHHH. And I had the arrogance to be so cheeky about it. *growls and mumbles to self* I swear, once I like, find EVERYTHING, I ought to record a playthrough of it. Unless you're opposed. Probably a long time from now though; gotta do NES 2nd Quest before anything else, and probably a full ZII AoL run as well. ^^

There's a flag for it now. By default, they don't.

got super wallet already,, forgot the location.. need to go back and find out!!
I don't think of any red bombs playing on this game!!
But you can get the.... "Indy's Whip"".... kill a red darknut on one lash - blue take two lashes!! (good weapon)
Is at level five!

Yup - got that already. I'm in level 6, havent seen a wallet, superbomb, or a bomb upgrade. That's why I was wondering. Bomb upgrade would be nice :-D

You can get more bombs in levels 3 and 7.

mmm...! since I bought many valuables item outside (re candle ,arrows , flute).. thought got the big wallet
But I think not, was only my idea icon_blink.gif

I just beat this quest thanks to some help from this thread. Ultimately, I give it a 4 out of 5. I really liked the overworld layout, but most of the dungeon layouts were a little too simple for my tastes. However, it was still a lot of fun and I am sure I will play it again at some point. I played the RC1 version in 2.5 RC1. Saffith, thanks for continuing to develop ZC and thanks for this fun quest.

I couldn't find any heart containers other than the one you get with the raft. Any hints? Not that I need it cause I'm awesome...also, what are the names of the new weapons?

First quest heart containers: 1 2 3 4 5

The new weapons are the urumi and chakram.
