I'm wondering about the trade sequence.  I've had the cloak for a while and no idea who wants it.  Not that it matters much at this point, as I'm trapped in the big battle (and struggling to beat it) after The Fallen Domain and unable to exit back to the main world.

As Malstygian pointed out, you should be able to give the cloak to a resident of Mircosi Village, to which you can access by entering the Village from the north (and so going south in the top-left of the Desert). Best of luck with the boss, by the way - it can be quite tough!

They're both part of a trading sequence. If I recall correctly, you should be able to continue with the bomb bag badge after level 7? Joel can correct me on this if I'm recalling wrong.

Shane is correct; you'll need to give the Bomb Bag Badge to the vendor in the south-western most point of the Overworld (in the Ubma Haven), and the Ghost that wishes to be loved needs to be given a Rose. They are both part of the trade sequence!

I just got the egg for the trade sequence but I don't know where to take it. How do I get past those grass-like

You'll need to give the Egg to a Chicken hiding in one of the caves; the cave is located in the very far-left screen of Velea (the one with Eyd). To cut the grass-like barriers, you'll need a better Sword, which you'll get after Level 7!

It looks like I need the better sword to get to the Chicken. Which dungeon is level 7?  I've been to every dungeon that I can get to. I have the flippers. I'm stuck without the sword.

With the flippers, you should be able to head south (into the Ocean); there you'll find a lone island, to which holds the key to the next main dungeon. Don't worry too much about the Chicken for now, and I hope this information helps!

I'm not sure if I already mentioned this to Joel or not, but one really cool thing this quest does is give you an older protag. You very rarely see any protags in games especially that are over like, 25. Also in general the story is quite good.

Just a fantastic game!  Finished it with (annoyingly) 19.75 hearts and 19 pieces of cement.  I saw the post listing a few of the tougher cement piles to find, but I had all those.

 

I'm wondering what they're trying to tell me to do in the post-game.  He keeps saying to go to the basement, I can't find a way in.

Just a fantastic game!  Finished it with (annoyingly) 19.75 hearts and 19 pieces of cement.  I saw the post listing a few of the tougher cement piles to find, but I had all those.

 

I'm wondering what they're trying to tell me to do in the post-game.  He keeps saying to go to the basement, I can't find a way in.

Glad you liked the game! Feel free to dive into the quest file (it's unpassworded) if you really want to find that last piece of cement. In regards to the post-game, there isn't really anything else to it. As long as you went back to the very beginning of the game, talked to all the workers there, you should be done!

Level 7 is Canaria Castle; you can't get there yet, so you should be headed to the dungeon (Level 6) located on the northern coastline (directly south of Velea), you'll find a cave which should take you along the path to the dungeon.

I am forging ahead with this very imaginative quest. I usually don't finish these quests due to late game difficulty but I am trying my best with this one.

 

I'm in Canaria Castle and am wondering if any of the ice-block pushing puzzles within require an additional item to complete? I am down to two puzzles on the left and right side and they both seem impossible (I am not very good at them). Both puzzles gate chests. I Tried to post screenshots but am not sure what format they need to be in.

None of the puzzles in Canaria Castle need an additional item to solve it; these ice block puzzles are probably the hardest in the quest, so don't worry if you struggle to beat them! I think I know which puzzles you're talking about, so if you wish for me to give you the solutions to them, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the offer for the solution... I want to try to figure it out on my own for a while first. It doesn't seem like any other items already acquired would be used in these puzzles either.

 

I am reminded of the Ice Wand block puzzle from Alundra, if you are familiar with that.

 

Even if I cant finish your quest its been a great experience up to this point, so thank-you!
