You need to go through the hidden room in the middle of the left half.

It might be some sort of compatability issue, but when I grabbed the first triforce piece, it crashed out. I'll try again and maybe gather some information as to what version I'm using.

There were a few problems with stopping music that were just recently fixed. If you're using build 1343 or older, I'd bet that's what it was. If not, let me know, 'cause it needs fixed.

Okay, that Level 4 boss is wild. I landed a few good bomb hits, but I kept dying even so... Gonna guess it'll require more than three Heart Containers for a fair shot at it. icon_lol.gif

So far I haven't found any Triforce pieces, but I managed to rummage through Levels 2, 4 and 8, and I net myself a Bow, a Magic Boomerang and a Red Candle, not to mention a huge amount of Rupees (some of them from good gambling icon_biggrin.gif).

I am loving this Quest! I have a huge love for Classic Quests, and this "new flavor" of classic First and Second is exactly what my heart has been craving lately. icon_love.gif I'm going to make sure I savor this experience!

Level 8 is near level 3, under a conspicuous tree.

So this morning, I restarted this Quest, having lost my save file months ago.

Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 8 are finished, in that order, and I ADORED the sidequest for the Magic Key. Took me almost an hour to figure it out, and the fight along the way worked up my heart. icon_love.gif (Genius where you put the secret path entrance leading towards it!) Hopefully it'll pay off, finding that thing with five dungeons still left to use it on.

It's so amazing to be able to explore the Overworld FRESH again, figuring out where all the secrets are as I go along instead of knowing where everything is and going a set route. icon_biggrin.gif

...Did I pick up a bar of soap in Level 8, by the way? icon_lol.gif

Ah, that's the Magic Tablet. It's a replacement for the book.
Well, thanks. Glad you like it.

I think I found a Fatal Bug. When you enter the Final Boss room in Level 9, Link holds up the Triforce and... holds that pose forever and ever, locking all the controls except the Start Button and essentially freezing the game. icon_eek.gif When I looked real carefully, I saw Link come out of his "Hold Up Item Two Handed" pose for one millisecond, at three-second intervals, so it looks to me like he's being forced by the Script back into his Hold Up Item pose whenever he's not in that pose, and the battle/cutscene/whateveritisyouhaveinstoreforme doesn't get its chance to run.

By the way, I'm using the build you PM'd me. Do you want me to switch back to RC1 and try it?

Anyway this game is every inch of enjoyment I've hoped for, even considering this Final Boss bug. ^^ I like Level 7's weapon! Problem is I don't get many chances to use it effectively; the Power Lariat (Level 5's item) probably got the most use outta me, and I wielded the Candle a lot too since the Red one could be bought early on and I'm skilled with comboing enemies with the flame in the corner.

I played through the entire game without Potions, too. I never found the Letter, not until after I encountered the Final Boss and decided to go back and find it somewhere on the gigantic Overworld. Turns out it was the VERY LAST SCREEN I had not yet visited. icon_eyeitus.gif I found that pleasantly ironic.

Also only have 15 Heart Containers in stock. Not even gonna bother with the 16th unless I get reeeeally bored, considering how much there is I'd have to bomb/burn I haven't messed with... icon_heh.gif

Nah, I checked. Same thing. Beta 18 works, though.
Shoot. I'll see what I can do for it.

All right: RC1 fix
Looks like I can't really make it work right, so I just commented out the problematic parts. I'll be able to fix it properly for RC2.
