Shoot the ladder with an arrow

QUOTE
and just a general question about the quest: is there a point to the soldiers you see in different parts of hyrule? or are they there to give the quest a little more atmosphere?

The soldiers that are around the overworld are soldiers that left Citadel. They just give different point of views to make the storyline more interesting. They basically give you clues on what is happening to Citadel.

I was wondering, are nayru's love, din's fire, and forory's wind found inside the dungeons or are they somewhere in the overworld like in a cave or secret cavern or something. Just curious to know. Also, Iam on level 5 right now and to me, it is HARD! But Im still really enjoying this quest alot. Can't wait for the next one!

Nayru's Love you get at Lona Lona Ranch after level 6. Din's Fire you get in level 7. And the other one is not in the game. Do make sure to get the Red Tunic after level 6. Also you can get the Blue tunic now if you go play the Ocarina in front of the Link statue in Autumn Town.

Well, I beat it yesterday. The final boss wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Here are my stats after completing the game. On another note, I had 4 hearts left after killing the boss, with enough magic left for a casting of Nayru.

user posted image

Other notes about the final battle...

Used 12 bombs, 3 Super Bombs
Used 18 or so rupees firing arrows
Used both of my potions
Used Nayru liberally

Other comments/notes: A good, solid quest. The music choices could've been better at times (IE: the afformentioned Season Isle, the boss battle music, having a final boss music), but other than that, it was great. Storyline was excellent. Was always entertaining (many quests slack off towards the end, save for the last level), and was not unfair.

- Most annoying dungeon - Proably Cerbat, but that was mainly due to my own doing.
- I didn't pick up the Blue Tunic until it was absolutely necessary, although this was a mistake on my part. I still had no problems.
- I love Super Bombs. They are more powerful than the Master Sword, have a larger range, and utterly destroy many enemies and bosses. I used them on Manhandla 2s, Super Darknuts (most notably the one in Rorriow), Deathnuts, and anything else in the way that pissed me off.
- Bombs are also great, they have the power of a Magic Sword hit, and can even hit things twice in a row (most notably Aquametus and baited Goriyas).
-The latest betas have new enemies, perhaps you could add some when you update the quest?

And a random screenshot of playing the quest. Here. (note: very minor spoilers). Soon after taking this screenshot, the Goriyas were blown into next week. icon_smile.gif I love messing around with the bait item, but it's a shame it's not permanent.

I am so glad that you enjoyed the game as much as you did. By the way, I never knew you could do that with the bait. So the Goriyas are attacted by the bait, I mean... They are fans of the Cucco Books! icon_razz.gif

I don't think there are Gleeoks. But I think I know what you are talking about.

Anyways, you can hookshot over there, I think you are just standing too close to the edge. Back up, and try it.

I decided to start playing HoD again, as Shoelace promised it would get better as it went on...

I'm stuck in Level 4. I'm at the second locked door in the dungeon, the one blocked by the flames. I already put out the flames, but I can't find the dang key!

How do I get the stepladder? Should get it or the magic B-rang first?

The ladder is in Level 3. You must complete the challenge where you have to go without a sword or items. You need to magic boomerang first. Trust me, the challenge is not that hard to find.

Blackdrake, the question is if you are too the point of the challenge. As you progress through the 3rd level it leads you striaght to it. Anyways, I have no idea where you are in the dungeon so I can't really help you. Do you have the Magic Bommerang yet, do you have any keys, are you in the lower level? I need to know to help you.

Revfan, there is a key one screen left of the entrance. You have to push the statue so it matches the other side, and then you can get the treasure chest with the key.

I was in the lower level. and there was a door I couldn't open because I ran out of keys. I got so frustrated that I deleted my file. icon_sweat.gif Don't ask me why. I'll play it again when you re-release it for 2.11

I thought that statue was just decoration! Thanks! *adds "Push on every last thing you can find" to list of things to do when stuck*

But I'm stuck again. In the room with the green puddle. If the block comes up if you move at all after the hookshot target comes up, and you have to move to get to the hookshot target, how are you suppossed to get past that block?

When first entering that room, push the eye statue so it matches the other (Sound familiar, eh? lol) so then a hookshot grab appears. You hookshot over and then be able to go past the block. Same at almost all green "puddle".
However, that sentence seems really messed up, but I hope I did understand...
