How do you beat the boss in lvl 1? I have the boomerang, some bombs and the red shield. and the sword, of course.

Use the boomerang on the switches in the corners.

HoD is for ZC v2.10

Once you've fixed that:
  • One of the switches should be a different color than the rest. That's the one you need to hit.
  • You need to throw the boomerang diagonally to reach the switches.

Thanks asdf482.

Also andrewmcd1, yeah you have to play on 2.10. I am going to make a 2.11 version of the game, and it will be out near the release of 2.11. Anyways, about your question. The boss key is on B3. You will need a key to get to the huge room filled with trees. The key is actually in the top left corner of the level. You have to use your boomerang at the skull statue to reveal the key. Then when you are in the big room you will see a guard. Burn the tree to trap him and follow that path to get the next key. This key will open the lock in the top right corner of B3 where you get the Big Key.

I'll be looking forward to that verison then. No midi bug is a reason to replay it alone.

Will that 2.11 version be very else than the 2.10, will there be real additions or it just be simply 2.11 compatible? I will play it anyways.

Well, there will be minor differences in the puzzles in HoD. They will be just easier to figure out and such. Basically, the main complaints were the timed puzzles, the custom bosses, and some of the puzzles. They will be easier in this version of the game. And of course the game will no longer have the 2.10 midi bug. Yay! Anyways, I am most likely going to add an extra dungeon in the Temple of Courage, since I can clear up a Dmap or two because of the 2.11 carryovers (There was going to be an extra dungeon put I had used all 256 Dmaps).

So yes, The 8th level will be easier. And the custom boss King Dodonogo will no longer warp you on the fire (Thanks to the direct timed warps). So be sure to look for this version when 2.11 is released. In June, I will be working on it a lot when I finish what I am doing on EotM.

Hi, I'm stuck on Level 8, the Underground Citadel. I'm at a locked door on the far west side of the level, right below the skull on the map. I've been in every room east of this one but apparently missed something. I've gotten a key from the three guys to the left of the entrance and the room that you bomb into from the south. I don't remember which other keys I've found. I don't have the fire boomerang or master sword yet. Please help! Thanks.

Hammer the sand in the near west for one key (you may already have it) or hammer the holes to the east to reveal the save way, go along, defeat the lanmolas and hammer there for the rarer key.

Shoelace: You can spare at least 30 if not more DMaps... You don't need extra DMaps for one-timed events. You can do it with carry overs OR with [warp (A/B)^secret combos].

Thanks CastChaos - I found the key I was missing. I must have hammered everything in the level except for the simple and OBVIOUS sand two screens from the entrance!

Yeah. icon_razz.gif That is what I mean. I most likely can clear a Dmap or two for an extra dungeon for the 2.11 version. However, I don't think I would do all of them over. The work fine the way they are. I will just clear the ones that I need.
