A stronger version of Medusa is in the boss run.

Although Medusa is good practice for the bonus boss; both of them operate on very similar principles.

A suggestion about the boss rush... I think is too hard in normal >.< The bosses do a ton of damage, are quicker than before, and you have to beat them consecutively with one health bar and two potions...

I think the thing would be more manageable with rooms with refilling pots after every boss (Not only after three). The only way to win in normal is to abuse the cane (and playing normally, you don't have that item) and that's not fun at all. Also, the golden arrows are suppose to help in the bonus dungeon, but if the boss rush is harder... Obviously, you can downgrade to very easy and get the arrows easily in the boss rush, but that's cheating ='(

I disagree. I've been able to do the boss rush on hero mode without potions, Nayru's Love or the cane. It's more or less just learning every boss's pattern. I also find the bonus level (namely the boss) tougher than the boss rematches. If you're still having a hard time, you can always abuse Nayru's Love and wait for it to refill between rounds. The more you practice them, the better you get at them and eventually it will feel second nature!

Oh, that's what you're missing. Look carefully in the angel statue room on the right, there's a bombable wall you're missing.

Thanks a lot, Russ. That helped :)

The eyes are actually truthful. The arrow gives you your initial direction and the statue gives you a modifier to that direction.

I don't know about the red tunic, I finished the dungeon without it. Also, it really helped me to know two things about the tower: first, two screens left from the entrance is a bombable wall, and second, down from there you can find a room with both mirrors and wizzrobes ;)

Any suggestions on how to beat her? I get about 5 decent hits with the cane and then she does a spin attack with curses like a patra, or she chases me around screaming at me. I can dodge most of the attack pretty well, just when I get in close he curses me. Do you use a range weapon on her like arrows, sword beam or wand?

Push the eye statue around; it'll scratch across the floor and make an arrow. Now, in each room, you have to look at the eye and the arrow. If the eye is staring at you, then the arrow is pointing in the right direction. If the eye is turned away from you by a certain amount, twist the arrow by that same amount to find the right door to go through. For instance, if the arrow points right, but the eye statue is looking 90 degrees clockwise of you, twist the arrow 90 degrees clockwise, which points down, so you head through the southern door.

Does that make any sense? If not, I can just go get the maze path.

As for Medusa, seconding what TS said, arrow her. Getting in close can do more damage, but also puts you at a much higher risk of getting hit. Slow and steady pays off in this fight. It's in a lot of ways the same strategy you have to use to take down Blighted Abyss's boss.
