Okay, I'm stuck in level 2, the lava dungeon. I got the bow, but can't find the arrow. On the lower level, I found a room with just 1 fire octorok, but I got nothing when I defeated it.

Also, a few screens before that (the first screen where there's the 1-tile-wide moving floors over the lava), I can't push that block to move it out of the way so that I can go in the room to the north. (Not the upper left corner, but the one next to the lava.) Do I need the bracelet to move it? I'm confused.

Am I supposed to kill the Pols Voices with my sword? If that's where the arrow is, then let me know.

Yup. You need to kill those Pols Voices with your sword. The room after that is the arrow.

He's right. On top of that, though, once you get the power bracelet, I would recommend coming back to that room, as there is a good treasure in the room to the north. (And you'll want it.)

Thanks. Yeah, I found it and finally beat the level. I also got the medal at the Skybox, too, thanks to the help early on in this thread.

The only thing is: can someone give me advice on how to beat that fire gleeok? I have the white sword and 6 hearts, it's just that (what would be) the mirror shield was edited to not block its fire, and my normal Gleeok strategy of weaving back & forth in between shots doesn't work well when the shot is a stream of fire.
Any advice?

Wait until almost the end of the game to beat him. You can get the level 3 sword in level 4, and you can find the red ring at the end of a difficult side-quest. The metal shields dropped by-
Wait, which fire Gleeok? The one on the mountain? If it's that one, about the only strategy you can use is to rush him, and bring 3 potions. And get him now; it's a medal you can't get after you have a certain number of hearts.

The mountain, that's right, by level 2. All right, I'll try it again. Edit: I just got the blue mail. Can I still get the achievement? [/Edit]
I just found the blue fire gleeok by level 3. Not sure why it's blue, but oh well. It's that hot I guess? icon_shrug.gif Oh well, it doesn't matter.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, when I buy the red potion, it says it's 3 refills, but I use the red potion and it becomes blue; I use the blue potion and it's gone. What color is the third potion supposed to be? The empty bottle?

Edit2: Okay, never mind. I guess I just didn't notice the leftover at the bottom of the bottle before. icon_doh.gif
And yes, I did get the achievement with the blue mail. It really helps!!!

Yeah. The blue mail makes a big difference. And no, it doesn't count for any of the achievements. One good thing, you don't have to fight the blue gleeok under any particular heart limit, so that's a plus.

Okay, I don't know about anyone else, but Level D's Splitting Darknuts are killing me. I can avoid most of them, but have Splitting Darknuts return after leaving the screen and coming right back, I just died a few times trying to complete that Hamiltonian Path room that has 4 splitting darknuts in it. I haven't been able to beat/outrun them while I solve the path, and if I step off the path to beat them, I have to walk off-screen and come back to find them alive again.

How the heck am I supposed to complete this room? Keep trying to outrun them?

Level D is not easy. I'm not going to sit around and pretend that it is, either. It was designed to be difficult. It's for those who really want the best ending, as it holds the hardest achievement to get by far. What I'd recommend for now is door sniping them. I know it's not the most elegant of solutions, but when I redo this, Level D won't get easier, let me promise you that, but I will probably make it less frustrating (i.e. lose those Splitters in that room, particularly)

I realize this is old, but I figure I'll bring it up.

I got the bomb bag, but had never once found any bombs or purchased any before this point. As a result, it wouldn't let me actually use them as they wouldn't show up in the subscreen. :S

I went to buy bombs firguring since I never actually got the bombs item, it would trigger it and I could use them, but since I had max bombs, the shop wouldn't let me buy them. ): I also had the worst luck trying to get an enemy drop a bomb.

Just figured I'd bring it to your attention or something. :3 I'm really liking the quest so far! Nice work. icon_smile.gif

Hmmm, this seems to be turning into a help thread, so I'm going to move it to the proper forum. ^^

@ms_zelda_lady: If you're talking about Icycle Caverns, use a piece of paper to draw the left and right paths over each other. That's how I figured it out.

@jwex001: What do you mean by "level 3"? Are you talking about the third dungeon that has one of the required medallions?
