I have not been to the dessert yet.  I have the flute, but I don't have the mirror shield yet.  I have the magic mirror.  Where is the mirror shield?  I beat Level 6 finally.  On to Level 7.  I have found a couple of secret rooms that have orange globes.  I am not sure how to trigger them.  Any hints?

Mhhh I think The Mirror Shield was the Level 7 Reward so I think the Globes could have Something to Do with Level 4 Sword or Mirror Shild i Think

I am not sure how to post screenshots.  Sorry.  I took one.  It was a secret room with a big chest in the dark world.

I Think The Progress is Similiar To ALTTP mit den Items

Once you have the blue sword, you can hit the blue crystal a bit southeast of the castle entrance. Not much is open at first in the dark world, but as you find more items, things become available.

 

The red/orange crystals activate when hit by fire balls reflected by the mirror shield.

 

The golden sword is available using the mirror shield, but will require a super bomb as well.

Having fun so far with this quest and have finished the pendant quest portion and have started the next part which seems to be centered on Hyrule Castle. 

I understand that I am to battle Agahnim there and have tried several times with no victory. I am seeing this on the ZC (see image)

And am wondering if this is normal and expected.

Also, since I believe that Magic Mirror is supposed to be in the castle basement somewhere do I get it first and use it in the battle or is a prize for beating Agahnim?

 

I have done some exploring in the Dark Castle but haven't beaten it yet.

Any replies would be appreciated. Using a keyboard for control and I find myself struggling with faster bosses with random moves.

This is probably a good case for why the debug console really shouldn't open by default in the player. :/

Anyway, this quest should be beatable afaik, I don't remember the exact progression path so I'm afraid this won't be very helpful, listing your inventory items and quest item progression would be helpful though.

Wait a Second you dont have Beaten Aganim and Yet you go to the Dark Palace welp i Hope you dont Break anything with it my Biggest Fear were you cant come Back anymore now Well Good Luck on your Quest and i think you Should be Normaly able to Defeat Him and you have Problems even with Medicine Right Mhh well i Remember he is a Hard Foe you Could only Try Again and Again i Think

I can't get past the door in Level 1, where it mentions to push a block. I push the block around and nothing happens.

I too cannot open the door in the Plains Temple in the room where they say to push a block. I saw on Youtube that there are videos to where a button is under one of the pots after destroying it but when I played this quest, no such button was found when I went into the room.

 

I tried on 2.55 and 2.53 and still nothing worked.

Apparently the button that is supposed to unlock the door to the second half of the Plains Temple just flatout doesn't exist. Luckily, this quest isn't password protected, so you can just go into the editor and fix the problem yourself. The easiest way to do so is to just remove the door itself: Select the Screen Tab in the menu, select Doors (or just press F6) and change the top option from "Shutter" to "Open".

 

UPDATE: Even if you get past this through the above way, Skull Woods is broken too due to missing several entrances. So yeah.
