I'm in the second dungeon (Abberation), and I've found the Lens, with one key to spare. I'm in the basement, one square below the "top" of the A. It's a block puzzle on railroad tracks. I always seem to trap the blocks, and I can't get that 4 way block over to the switch. How do I conquer this obstacle?

Alright, Quest 2 is kicking my butt, and I need bed, so I'll let the midnighters answer this one (hopefully).

I made a video of that on YouTube. It is on my sig.

Unfortunately...I have a new problem.
...I've found one of those "later beta bugs". Apparently, some keys just didn't get...transferred. To put it in a better way, there was no special item in the room, even though there was supposed to be.
THIS was what happened to the key I couldn't find on Level 6 of the first quest (Dragon). I was able to get around it because the Magic Key was there. However...the magic key can't replace boss keys. That room has a boss key. No boss key = stuck.
With that in mind...I'll await the next version to try this again. Oh well.
Late edit: apparently ZC Build 716 is also borked. Then again, perhaps I wasn't supposed to transport the zc.sav file, but...oh well. I'll be fine.

In extreme mode, is their a large wallet to be found, or a hammer? I don't want to keep giving away all my life.
Unfortunately, you will lose a lot of life, however in Xtreme Mode, there are more Heart Containers found to the ones you lost.
Instead of the Triforce, there will be helpful items for you to find.
Click to highlight
Level-1 Xtreme holds the 999 Rupee Wallet. It is where Level-5 was in the first quest.
Level-2 Xtreme holds another Amulet. I asked DFW about it. Level-2 is in a tree near the lost woods.
Level-3 Xtreme holds the Golden Arrows. Level-3 is in the far NE, where you got the Blue Mail in the 2nd quest.
Level-4 Xtreme holds the flippers. Level-4 is where Level-2 was in the 1st and Level-3 in the second.
Level-5 Xtreme Holds the Mirror Shield. Level-5 is still where it was in the second quest.
Level-6 Xtreme holds the Fire Boomerang. Level-6 is underwater near the bridge leading to where Level-1 was in both 1st and 2nd quests.
Level-7 Xtreme holds the Master Sword! Level-7 is in the Snowy Mountains where Level-9 was in the second quest.
Level-8 Xtreme holds the Gold Ring (Purple Tunic) Level-8 is where Level-7 was in the first quest.
Level-9 Xtreme ??? Level-9 is where it was in the first quest. The Hammer and Super Bomb is needed to get there.
The Hammer is somewhere near the desert's east side.

the room south is supposed to have two keys. One in the passageway where you can go into to get a key and one in that chest. You have to enter from the north and from the south in that room to get both.
Hmm, last time I checked, the chest in that room had a 20 rupee bonus instead. Oh well, in the worst case scenario, only one of those keys is really needed since the player should have purchased the stepladder by now

really now? hmm...I wonder how that oversight could have happened. Odd. Oh well, there is a master key for sale anyways during the third quest. So its not like the player is totally out of luck.
I can see how this happened. There are two versions of this room: flooded and unflooded. The room itself has doors leading out south, west, and north. Entering from the south leads to a stairway down. Entering from the north leads to a chest. When unflooded, the room is only accessable from the south, and within the passageway is the key. When flooded, the room is accessable from either the west or north, but only from the north door can a player normally gain access to the chest, which holds a 20 rupee piece.
Upon returning to this room when flooded, now equipped with Flippers, I swim across the pool and reach the passageway, which now holds another 20 rupee piece.
I think you forgot to account for the fact that the flooded and unflooded versions of the room are really two seperate rooms. You could change the special item in the flooded version to a key, but an opportunistic player might come back with the Flippers and snatch a free key if the passageway is still accessable. If you seek to correct this, I suggest that you either close the stairway when the room is flooded and change the special item in the flooded room to a key or place the key elsewhere.
