I finally got around to starting this. Beat the first dungeon on hero mode. So far... I'm torn. On the one hand, the mechanics are amazing; the ring system and gasha seed system are both fun little additions and the ocarina is interesting. Peahat Mating Call is best song. The dungeon itself was full of good ideas and interesting puzzles. Too full... which is kinda the problem. I feel like you exhausted the possibilities of what you could do with the puzzle types about half way through the dungeon, and they started getting a "More of the same yet again" feel to them. By the end, I was begging "No Jamian, not another one! I get it, Plant Aria! Don't make me do it again!" Essentially, none of the puzzles or situations were bad in and of themselves, but the sheer relentless abundance of them really started getting to me.

Minor Story Gripe

So the tribute scene. While I appreciate what you have going there, the last bit didn't feel convincing. When asked to kill himself, the man had no reason to try to start an uprising. He was 3 feet away from the guy. He could have pulled out a sword, held it shakily as if he were having trouble bringing himself to commit suicide, then suddenly attacked, caught the tyrant off guard, and ended it there. Especially given that the tyrant's method of killing takes at least a few seconds. I dunno... it irked me a bit. Probably because I was worn out from the first dungeon and in a very nitpicky mood, granted, but I feel like it could have been handled better. Show the man try to attack, tyrant parries the blow and counterattacks, killing him. It would have been much more convincing, as well as shocking, and would have served to characterize the villain more in the process. Just my two cents.

Russ, I see your point, some players complained about that for the first two levels, but liked the next ones a lot more. So the experience may get better for you.

What to do after getting out of Mido prison?

I keep digging everywhere, finding secrets and shortcuts and found one unmarked secret and unblocked a route as well as getting the hint for I don't know what, but I don't know what is the artifact and where could it be.

Also, can I complete the secret next to Zelda's house now? I know how to access it, I'm just not finding a way through.

I suppose you mean the mirror shield, but I haven´t that and it looks like that is what I need to go on. But what should I do next. I just go in circles. This is my progress.

 

Look for bombable spots. Try falling down in rooms with crumbling floor tiles. Don't worry about that part of the map you were talking about for now.

There are actually two places you can reach by falling down, in different screens.

Also, can I complete the secret next to Zelda's house now? I know how to access it, I'm just not finding a way through.

 

When you can do it, you will know for sure.

in level 6, the compass sounds that there is something hidden in the bottom right room.  Othere then some enemies, the cannon, and fire traps, I don't see anything.

Cannons count as enemies. You can destroy them. The compass makes a sound because you'll get something for killing every enemy there.

thnks Jamian, I need one more key to open the locked block in the puzzle room in floor 3 of level 6, looking at the map, I think I was in every room, except one in floor2 that the door is locked where the stairs to level 3 are.
