Hey, DFW. I just noticed someone gave this quest a zero. I think he decided to rate it a Zero and not play it.

In Quest 2/ level 7 I come to 3 different dead ends, two of them, I need a key to proceed, another is a puzzle room that I need the power gloves. I can't find a key, or boss key, or power gloves. I have not finished 6 yet, but do have the ladder. I need three more heart pieces to get the big sword. In my searching before I found the big sword and the boomer game, but can find neither now. So my questions are many: Level 7 (key, boss key, power gloves, flippers?), boomer game location, master sword location... This is a great game but frustrating as hell, great puzzles...

The Gloves are hidden behind a torch in the Raft Area. Look very carefully and you'll see it.

NEW!!!

I am stuck in 2/6, I found the ladder. I beat 2/7 and have the magic sword. I get to a room where you must light a candle, bomb a block and shoot a statue which opens a portal to gray dimension, but nothing is there to do, and only option is to go back. All other paths seem to be dead ends also. I have not found the big bow or wand yet. Can someone please help? Also where is the candle mini-game?

The L-2 Bow is in Level-6. It is in the north part of the dungeon you need to walk through to get to it.

I just got the triforce in level 8 quest 2 and am going back for the magic key. I have tried about 20 times and can't find the correct path over the lava and the glass seems to be no help. Can someone help me get accross?

The blocks in the lava 'outline' the path across. So stay inbetween the two 'rows' of blocks, even if they seem a bit uneven.

I would suggest not to try. You'll waste your potions and be at the Mercy of the Mirror Wizzrobe Squad. Try beating the 2nd Quest without it.

although, having a master key from the 2nd quest and trying 3rd really helps out a lot. But if you're not trying for 3rd quest and just beating 2nd, then yeah, forget it.

To DarkFlameWolf and those that like messing with the ZC Builds:

Build 713, the latest Mac Build, is 98% compatible with this quest. The only thing messed up seems to be faster Pols Voice. I have not yet tested other quests to see if faster Pols Voice behavior is universal.

I repeat: it is possible to play, and beat, Origin on ZC Build 713.


...well, the 1st quest at least. Let me get courage for the 2nd and 3rd first.

Is it just me, or does the 1st quest suddenly get a lot harder at level 5. I have been stuck at those stupid blue darknuts for who knows how long now.
And I have a random question. I was exploring the overwolrd (because I was stuck opn level 5) and I decided to go climb Death Mountain and see what Spectacle Rock looked like in the quest. To my horror, when I arrived at the peak, Spectacle Rock was not there! Instead, there was just a glowing statue carved into the cliff side. Why DFW, why did you remove Spectacle Rock!? Although the rest of the overworld is very well done.
