There's three layers to this puzzle. First, you have to remember that the colors represent different directions (think back to a room earlier in the dungeon that had them laid out in a certain pattern). Second, you have to use the stardust scepter on them. Lastly, you have to take into account that the middle two have mirrors pointed at them and figure out what that means.

If you can do all that, then good luck. The puzzle in the next room is the true final boss of the game.

Thank you for answering! I wrote down the positions of the 4 colors but for some reason I am not getting it

I got it, that was the depth of meanness (or is it yet to come hehe)

You are right. I have spent 2 days (off and on) trying to figure it out. I am getting a headache, ugh. Maybe a hint? nevermind I finally managed to time it just right, whew!

Hey Snooze,

This is missable due to an error in judgment on my part. I can tell you missed the trigger for it since you don't have half magic. I meant to upload an update a long time ago that would have fixed this, but never finished the rest of the update. I'll cut off the update and upload it soon, but give me a day or two since I have a project to finish up for one of my graduate classes.

That character mostly gives you hints for Soltis, though, which funny enough you probably just finished. But for sake of fixing it and making it impossible to miss half magic, I'll still finish up the update and upload it soon.

You can say that again, Russ!  LOL That probably took me the longest to figure out, aside from the mega-tiers

I'm not too surprised there's a problem in a different version, so I made sure to put that disclaimer when I first uploaded the quest. I think I'll stick to 2.5.0, though, for both Eiyuu and Lost Lineage.

In other news, an update actually exists! I've just uploaded it and had a couple people run through random things to make sure typical features were still working. Here's the change log:

Items and stuff:
- Moved Half Magic. It used to be missable, but this would also prevent you from finishing Soul Game's collection of spirits, I guess, so I randomly decided to make this no longer missable. It's somewhere in Winterfall and will require the Hookshot and Blood Note. I also did this because I saw someone fulfill the old requirement for Half Magic in a recent LP, but then they used the Retry feature and proceeded to not do it again, resulting in
them missing Half Magic.
- Added a quiver upgrade for no real reason other than to have one. It's also in Winterfall and holds 30 arrows instead of 20.
- Fixed an oversight where the Paradox Hover Boots had to be used in a weird way to finish one of the Mega Tier Secrets. This was originally controlled by an NPC script you could glitch through, but when I fixed this, I forgot to allow the Boots to be used on that DMap again, so you would have to turn on the Boots before entering the DMap to finish it. You can now use the Boots on that DMap.
- Added a star marking to a somewhat elusive Heart Piece. I thought enough people would catch on to the gimmick by the time they stumbled upon it, but since not, I just put in the marker.
- Decreased the Cane of Byrna's cost from 16 to 12. (I may have already done this, I can't remember.) It drains fast enough even with Half Magic, so I figured why not.

Enemies / Difficulty things:
- Moved one of the infamous stair Ropes back a couple tiles in the basement of Brace Dest.
- Added another Fairy Statue to Sanskrit, closer to the boss room. Because while there are already two, I'm apparently a nice guy.
- Since aforementioned Fairy Statue is in the room next to it, the Blue Bloods in the room before the Boss Room are no longer set to Enemies Always Return (the magic drop enemy is also gone since it's no longer needed).
- Increased certain enemy heart drop rates to 40%.
- Changed the Moblin 2 Drop Set from Bombs to Life since Bomblins and bomb flowers took the Bomb drop set roles in this quest.
- Arrow Moblins can now be stunned with the Boomerang. I can't remember why I had it set to Block if <2, so that meant it was time to change.
- Moved more Death Crows to their own segment of the Overworld since so many people were insisting on trying to fight them early. In exchange, though, their stats have been reset to the older, more difficult versions. Happy hunting. (I'm talking to the crows, by the way.)
- Tougher enemies have now generally been moved to their own segments of the Overworld.
- Enemies in Truth that damaged for 2 hearts generally hit for 1.5 now. This is because so few players are getting the Peril Pendant and the dungeon is much harder for good karma players as a result, especially for players who do not buy a Shield. (Hint: Buy a freaking shield. The Shooters still hit for 2 hearts.)
- Added a small hint to the Flunge involving the spikes.
- Added a hint for how Iliss is solved.
- Added a warning that players should get the Gold Staff before finishing the top of Level 4. The string changes if you already have the Gold Staff.

Random:
- Slightly moved the edge of the cliff on the ice block area in Winterfall to the right. I was getting tired of watching everyone have to go off screen and come back to proceed to the lower end of Winterfall. The ice block, when pushed, will no longer be in the way of the vine.
- Fixed a strange room in a Trial of Sacrifice where you have to hit a button and wrap around the room to get a Small Key. For some reason, it went undiscovered that it's impossible to make the trip back (without the Paradox Hover Boots) without falling into a pit. I added a push block that lets you out if you don't have the Boots.
- Added a small shortcut in Plergoth that you can open as soon as you can use Wand Magic. (Very early in the game.)
- Abandoned the 6th Mega Tier Secret / Alt path to 5th Mega Tier Secret. I'm sticking to my guns on this one and only leaving the one obscure path. I would also rather work on the sequel.
- Decreased the size of some firebar by one. I forget which one.
- Added an alternate exit to the creepy house for people who get stuck in the stair loop and can't figure out how to leave.
- Added a blockade that prevents a weird event branch from being broken. (This might have been in a previous update, but I always forget everything.)
