I was able to bomb that just fine on 183... but the gleeok battle was a pain. Still managed to beat it though after much frustration

well... he did it right, so I don't know why it failed, unless he was accidentally using a 2.5 player when he restarted; those also can't demolish that house. otherwise, I'm not sure why you could do it and he couldn't.

oh, and how far did you end up getting? are you still playing it?

From time to time I get back on it. I'm just starting getting back into quest playing (I've been busier building). By the time I finish my quest I'll have more time to play others. Having testers would help.

alright, I'm thinking he used a different player than he said. dude is notorious for promptly forgetting stuff, so I suspect he may have switched over to a 2-point-something after the map bug crashed his progress. if anybody has the patience to confirm this for me -- as I am not capable of recognizing the different builds by sight -- please do. (the video is linked a few posts back.) he used ZLaunch to reopen it, so does that rule out 1.92s? I'm not not confused.

Zeldaman23 helped me to identify a progress-stopping error between levels seven and eight. I have fixed that and made a couple of other slight alterations.

old save files should work fine, because, aside from the path fix, the changes were minor and the quest file was not renamed.

I am very SORRY about that mistake, folks. if you got hopelessly stuck in the dark woods, you should be good to go with this update.

well... it seems my fixes were not ideal. I broke a couple of things which I will fix ASAFP. this quest will need yet another update, but it is not going to happen immediately. I am sorry for any troubles. maybe this thing will be fully functional before it is a full dozen years old.

I think there might still be some small unpassable problems near the end of the game. I don't recall for sure, but I want to warn people because the quest is featured on the front page (weird that our games monopolize the "featured" thing, Doctor Awesome) and I don't know for sure if it fully beatable right now. I may have broken some stuff that I thought I fixed. it would be around level seven. if you play (in 1.9s or 2.5s only -- 2.1s don't work) and get stuck, please give me as detailed of a report as you can and feel free to use the edit code of 723 to cut a path or give an item or whatever so you can move on on your schedule rather than waiting for me to fix it for real. this is a fun quest. it's VERY old, but has had a LOT of work done since 2002. you might like it.

Anyone know how to get the hookshot?  I am unable to get the key in lv 9 to obtain the triforce in level 8 so I can enter the high area to swing around and get the hammer, sword, and arrows.

oh, man...  uh...  hmm...  I should, but I don't.  if you made it that far, you deserve it, though.  maybe just edit it with the password of 723 and put it somewhere you hadn't gotten an item yet.  I don't know.

Hmm, this is odd.  I got the hookshot but it isn't working in level 9 in the room where two areas are separated by water.  There is a weird looking circular object but it's not letting me grab it.
