You have to fall to that room. Use the cannon in the middle in the dungeon and go all the way to the left.

I did and got the key which I used in the room to the left of that cannon pictured with the face blocks.  Maybe I'm missing a key or 2?  Or I used what I found in the wrong locations?  Lastly, where is the HD Heater location?

There are 2 keys in SOTE and 2 in SOTS. Did you get the key involving the switches in the middle cannon route?

I got 2 keys in the SOTE but I don't think I used them wisely.

Did you find the 2nd entrance in the dungeon?

yes, got that key and the one where you fall into theroom where the bottom 3 face blocks are down, near the main entrance.  I think i got one more but can't recall now.

did you ever fall down to use the upper-middle cannon?

if you mean the cannon in the upper left hand corner, no.  I just activated the switch and used it.  I go up and the first screen to the right was that small building protected by one green wizzrobe.  Is there a more effective way to kill them other than slashing?

No, I'm talking about this one. You don't need to kill the batrobe up there.

use the middle cannon, go all the way to the left to the magic octorok screen, head down and then left some more to get to this screen

ok, I've never seen that screen.  What do you consider the middle cannon?

I also have no keys too

I've gone there several times.  The second screen has a drop off and I can't across.

Not sure which one, but one you can push a block to create a path and the other you have to use an arrow to shoot an eye on the other side
