I did see the review. your five-star vote bumped me further up on the first page (by rank) of 1.90 quests. good stuff.

my next project is: http://www.purezc.co...showtopic=47495

also, my previous project was recently rereleased here, but I don't really recommend it, as it is ugly and clunky. it is totally playable and not glitchy (as far as I know) and it is fairly large and intricate, much like HowHigh.qst is. there's a thread for it a page or two back in the custom quest discussion section, if you are inclined to try it. it's called trudatman.qst -- pretty creative title, eh? I may not be great at naming quests -- won't it be great when I rename Pastel Zelda as HowHigh2? -- but I don't think they'd be any better with the standard PureZC quest titles of The Legend Of Zelda; A Return To The Shadow Of Seasons Exdee and the likes.

blah, blah, blah. short answers: "I did" and "a sequel."

edit: removed the double posting caused by my reaction to my frustration with a dying Internet connection.

Hi Trudatman, in this screen I can't go up, even if I do F5 and continue:

Is it a bug?

I have yet to get that far in this playthough, but if I remember correctly, you can get out of that pit by getting rid of a wall.

all major bugs in recent versions have been eliminated and the quest is entirely beatable. the current version (found in the first post of this thread) is the best, yet. another update will follow in the near future, once Wolfo has completed and added the soundtrack pieces. thanks, y'all! holler.

I'm unable to run 1.90 on my computer with Windows 7 despite many attempts, so I played most of your quest using one of the newer builds (1318). Everything was great until level 8 where I hit a game-ending road block. You can't enter upstairs rooms that go from a doorway that's an up stairwell to a doorway that's a down stairwell. For example, the map room and the room to the upper right with a bunch of wizrobes in it. You can get upstairs to the room that tells you not go go up the extra stairwell until you finish the level. That one is does not have the same doorway when you get up to it. Anyway, it was fun, but since I won't be able to get the hammer, there's not much more I can do. Thanks for the quest.

if you'd like to edit the doorway so it works in your build, I could send you a private message with the edit code. glad you liked it. here's hoping you'll change that door and keep going.

if anybody else would like to make adjustments to make this thing run smoothly in other versions, let me know. still awaiting an update of the music from Wolfo, but the database page had a very outdated version, so I submitted an update for the meantime. if you have played this thing through and not left comments on the database page, please use this link to do so: http://www.purezc.co...ge=quests&id=65 . some old comments were just culled (they were reviews of an extremely old version that I do not consider to be complete), but if one was yours and you feel similarly about the updates, feel free to repost your notes. thanks, y'all.

so, Zeldaman23 may be working on a set of videos of playing this thing. I'm pretty sure he's using 1.92/183. I advised him that he doesn't need any keys nor completion symbols before level eight and that this thread is here to elicit help from others while I am away on vacation until Tuesday. there is a lot of information already in this thread, but it can be tough to navigate through for a particular issue or question/answer. please chime in if he asks questions you can answer. thanks. have a good weekend, y'all.

So after I actually wanted to try Pastel Zelda or Stick Zelda, I had to go with HowHigh, because the download links in the other topics don't work :/
Anyways, I've just beaten Level 1 and learned that I have to find a GameBoy! It was pretty challenging, but beatable (though I died, like 20 times or something). Now, I've been searching around a little (I think I need the Ladder or the Candle now?) but I didn't find anything of interest yet. I enjoyed it, it's quite different from the other quests. It still played like a 1.9 quest (after all it is one) but a good one. So yeah, I think I will play some more of this but I'd also like to try Stick Zelda (if the link wasn't broken :/).
