Well, the crystal itself is hitable with magic from any old wand. But you will need the Fire Orb at some point on the way to the dark medal (And the secret dungeon in which it is hidden),

... well obviously I forgot to try an item on it. icon_doh.gif Not that it'd have made a difference but still.

Anyways. The Death Knight in Level D. This one's just... I've beaten everything else this game has thrown at me, but this thing's a bit too much, I think. Would it be too much to ask for an update that makes him actually beatable?

Did you download the nerf I posted a few posts ago? I nerfed the Gleeok and Death Knight in the same one. If you didn't get that one, then try it out. If you did, then let me know. I'll nerf it again... Or something. Remember that you can hookshot stun them on either side or the back, so you really just need to get around behind him (easier said than done, I know).

Again, sorry the difficulty is so inconsistant. This still was just a 2 week quest, I didn't have time to iron everything out.

Oh, I missed that somehow. Heh...

So one last question. On the third floor of level 3, I (I think) need to go south to get the key to open the door to the north, but I can't figure out how to get past the room with the three fire gels. How do I get past there? Scratch that, found the key elsewhere. I gotta look around better from now on...

And on a side note, how many endings are there total? Just 2? Or more?

There's 3 endings total. One for 0-3 achievements, one for 4-7, and one for all 8.

And that block (I'm assuming 3rd floor of level 5, that's the only dungeon with a floor 3) is the only very heavy block in the game. You need the other power glove thing to move it (It's also in level 5, on floor 1.) That's not where the key is, though. The boss key is in there. There was 3 keys on floor 2, two with the power off, and one with it on. You only needed 2 to go upstairs, though, so it's got to be one of the 3 on floor 2.

Yeah, I found that all out shortly after posting. Well, beat the game now, with the best ending. I liked it a lot. Expect a full review later, but suffice to say, it's one of the most clever quests I've played in a while. The final boss's second phase seemed a bit anti climatic, but having been in a timed contest before, I know from experience that making a perfect last boss under under time pressure is difficult. But all in all, I really enjoyed this. Using Marco's scale, I'd probably give it a 5/6. Very nice work.

Edit: Since I copied my file, I just saw the ending you get for only having seven medals. Kinda unfair, I think. How was Link supposed to know that was bad when the Voidmaster didn't tell him any better. The man has no right to hate his guts. But oh well. Typo by the way: You said you're instead of your in one of those strings. Now I'm kinda interested in the worst ending...

Well, I've just got the best ending for this quest. In my opinion, this quest gets very challenging as you approach the end, especially in Level D, which contains a lot of strong enemies. Oh, and in that level is a very interesting block puzzle with a lot of tricks. It seems that you do put quite a number of deathknights in this game.

The plot was also interesting... and I love the plot twist in this quest. But, why do achievement medals affect the ending? I think there must be a little backstory on these medals and their significance.

So, I think that I'd give this quest a 5/6.

So I hear there's a white sword somewhere...any hints?

Edit: OK NVM I found it. Kinda a strange place to put the white sword, don't you think?

The Voidmaster is still just a man. Granted, one who's been alive for 25,000 years. He was trying to play "chessmaster", and he failed. He's more angry at himself, but I guess I didn't portray that well enough. Oh, well. Time for a re-write.

ZeldaLink's First Spoiler Tags:

Yeah, I got carried away. There are a total of 5 of them. Did you get the nerf file? It makes them a bit easier to kill without edge sniping.

Second Spoiler: Yeah, I hate the Big Circle ones. But I'm not going to change it to big circle for the DX. If anything, I'd make it 6 hearts and the fire medal 8 hearts, to even out the difficulty a bit.

Third Spoiler: I'll look into it.

Thanks for playing this, guys!

So in my subscreen I'm missing the second and fourth achievement medals from the left. Any hints?

Yeah, those are the Ice and Sand achevements. I gave Russ some hints here, for those same two, strangely enough. (Yeah, that Ice one is tough for sure)

EDIT: Dang, Russ, you ninja'd me!

EDIT 2: The mountain one is 6, the patra is 8. Again, in both you can't have the Genesis sword (Lv. 3 sword), or you won't get it either. Forest one you can't even have the white sword.

K, got those last two achievements. No idea how I missed that sand one...Anyhoo, I've found that the boss of level D is great for grinding. Is there anything changed in the ending if I get the 5000 rupee gear?

Absolutely nothing. Thing is, if you want it (Trust me, it's only there to be an extra thing, you won't need it), you'll need to find the 1,000 rupee wallet, then buy the 5,000 rupee one first. But no, the only thing that affects the ending is the achievement medals. Everything in the Upgrade Shop is not only completely optional, but will not affect the ending in any way.

This quest looks pretty good. I would play it if I have time. icon_smile.gif Good job.
