There's a warp in every screen with a green-eyed armos. the ones with red dots on the shield are switches. Does this help?

Yes, that helps, gonna take a look around the dungeon again.

yeah, you have to solve the puzzle before the item gets to the end.

before entering the the dark world, I have two places that I haven't been able to figure out the maze in the top left corner where you enter the tree and the mono maze.  Also I can't move the red armos, am I missing something?

The red armos move when you beat the game. The maze cave, you just need to figure out the route to get through it. The mono-maze, you need to expose the dungeon to something outside. Look for a screen around it for anyhing that looks odd.

wow, if there are 4 directions to the correct route in the maze cave then there are many many directions to try, can you please give me some clue to narrow down the directions

It isn't a black wizrobe, he's orange. He's on the south beach looking for something he possible dropped.

Magic Boomerang = under Armos outside of the forest in a screen with a trigger  ( I've checked bunches of Armos's time and time again in the areas just outside of the forest.  Have not found it.  Sorry, take my hand and help me   as I just can't find the dang thing to the point of high frustration  ).  I have finished level 6 and have the blue tunic and sword upgrade, so this boomerang upgrade is making me spin my wheels.

You want to go to this screen. A man in the north western part of Hyrule gives you a hint to go here.

I found that with no problem ...but I need the magic boomer to trigger inside

hit one of the triggers with the normal boomerang. You get the magic boomerang inside

ok, I've been trying to "escape" level 7 for a long time and I'm about ready to throw in the towel.  Is it just all the way back the way I came in?  I always die in the room with the 3 rows of spikes or is there a sortcut I'm missing?

I think I know which room you're talking about. The fire hurts you, but the smoke does not. I go through the room on the right side.
