just saw your edit now. the Sunglasses are a truly "bonus" item. don't worry about them. they are VERY hard to find.

which build are you using, Pat? did you use a different one the last time you got that far?

I'm using Version 1.90 as of March, 18, 2001, I know v2.10 may create some problems; tried with 2 different pc.
I don't remember what version I used, probably the same, when I didn't have any problem to get the boots; probably my Pc was running under Windows 2000, now I use WIN XP.

I don't know what to do in Level 6. I can only get to the first room and need a key. Is there another entrance (or another way to get the glove so I can go back to Level 9)?

Also, I have never found the white (stone) sword so it is getting kinda hard. Where would I find it?

there is a guy who offers "fine metal work" (and then only gives you stone) if you are worthy. you are. find him in the East. I helped somebody with this in the last dozen posts. check them out. you seem to have ideas for level six. you can do it. having fun? thanks for playing!

well, if you start again, you will see that a lot has changed in the recent update. it may be worth a replay for the drastically different beginning, alone.

Would it be bad if i played it in 2.10?
Would it JUST make it harder?
That wouldn't be too bad icon_smile.gif

the gleeok in the first room of level two becomes almost impossible instead of extremely hard. other stuff may be a bit off, too. not sure exactly what.

It should play correctly in 1.92b184. That's what I use for 1.90 quests and it's worked very well for me.

thanks, John. I'm pretty sure I changed quite a bit in the early game since you have played. want to play the newest update [edit: scratch that; wait for the next update] through the gleeok in level two to confirm it all runs smooth in 1.92b184? is there a reason you don't use the further 1.9Xs through 2004? http://www.armageddo...tory.php?ver=75 which was the last DOS one?

trudatman, I seem to recall trying to run 1.90 once and having terrible audio issues.

Anyway, I've played some very good to excellent 1.90 quests in the last two years or so (Revenge 2nd, Bikdip's Adventure 2, yours), and always had good luck playing them with 1.92b184. Another thing I love about that player is that it fixes the overworld map bug, a terrible bug if ever there was one. As a player I've become very addicted to the overworld map feature, which is odd considering I almost never used it when I first started playing custom quests. Now I get mildly annoyed when a quest doesn't have it.

Since it's been over a year since I've played this, and it seems like you've made a number of changes since then, I'd be happy to give it another playthrough. Just let me know when you are ready for me to do so.
