The Fire Boomerang is used in the first screen of Soltis, but it's not the item that actually gets you in. You're looking for a certain red symbol very close to Sanskrit, and when you find it, you'll want to use another item you've used before when you've seen that symbol.

And now, a question for anybody else playing the game. I've got the True Champion's Medal, and I'm trying to find out how to reach the key on the beach now (which Team tells me is the last of the 5 mega-tier secrets). Has anybody found it yet? Don't tell me how to get if you have, I'm just curious how many people have actually solved it. For that matter, how many people have found the True Champion's Medal so far?

I have the real true champion's medal, but am also totally baffled about getting the key on the beach.

The going idea I have is to use din's fire (mr. mega?) on the screen northeast of the beach key, the screen with the 3 large tombstones, as per the hint from the NPC in the first secret shop, which opens the way to the beach key. I also can't find mr. mega, so haven't exactly tested this idea.

 

I'm also totally baffled about the secret to the soul game box, even though I have ideas about it. Does the hint for the soul game box in the second secret shop signify that I need to use the cane of somaria somewhere on one of those three screens, or that the soulgame box is a 4-way arrow box (like others in the quest) with only the potential secret to the west of the box being actually reachable?

 

I've gotten all four endings so far, missed out on a heart container, and have a pretty full item list except for those 3 things:

Is there something behind this waterfall in this screen? Is it perhaps the second secret shop or is it a red herring?

If you're still looking, best thing I can say is that Delta Moblins around Myso REALLY love blood...

Found the shop finally.  The solution was simple.  I over-thought it.  Thanks Zolias. Now it has got me thinking that perhaps I am also over-thinking the magic pot secret.  I think that perhaps I need to go back to that mini-dungeon where you had to shoot the statues  to go into the next room to get a heart container piece. Perhaps there is more to that dungeon than what meets the eye.  Then again, there was that corner missing on the map and one blue mushroom gone.

You'd be surprised how I found it.  I still haven't figured out the magic pot yet, however, and the Soul Game was the hardest thing to find for less-than-obvious reasons.  The fear factor was basically the biggest reason...  I now dislike birds because of it!  This quest is definitely weird, but in a good way, which is why I like it.  Makes you think more than the 2nd quest of LoZ did.

Yeah, the 5th mega tier secret is way out there in terms of logic and finding it. When Dan was playtesting the quest, he actually found it by complete accident.

 

While I do intend to keep the mega tier secret idea for future games, I'll probably have more leads toward them.

According to your subscreen, another round of Soul Game might help with Mr. Mega. Though it seems like you already are by the point where I intended you to use Mr. Mega, but it can still be a bonus.

 

Funny enough, you need the True Champion's Medal to finish the 5th mega tier secret, but actually don't need a single item in the game in order to solve the Soul Game box hint. Not sure if that'll help or make things more complicated.

If you have the True Champion's Medal, you're beyond the magic pot secret. The room with the waterfall is more designed to be a secret bedroom, and the waterfall area its meditation spot. So yeah, only secret there is the medal itself.

 

The secret shop indicator can be hard to see but luckily you don't have to wander too far for it.

Glad you're enjoying the mental workout! I felt like some of the secrets in this game fell together in a nice, neat package. Now sadly I have the task of making it work again in future games, or tweaking the idea but keeping the good parts of it.

 

Anyway, if you have the Champion's Medal, it can help you with the magic pot. Otherwise you're a little early.

I've killed the Goriya and moved the block to each position. And I've tried all my items on walls, floor, blocks, etc. What am I missing?

That room is a red herring meant to mess with your mind. You cannot open the door from that room. That door leads back to the first room with the Aquamentus on blue tiles where he drops a key. You have to kill the Aquamentus in that room with something really powerful when he gets close to you in order to open that door.

The lines from the mirrors are only going between the middle two color tiles, so those are the only ones you need to reverse. One of the harder puzzles in the dungeon and I've had trouble giving out hints without outright telling the player what to do.

 

You don't really need the eye statues until you're ready to go up, in any case. They're just there for the block puzzle.

Well, I'm still completely stumped. I can get one tile to change colors, and that's it. Perhaps you could pm me another hint if you don't want to reveal too much.

You use the stardust scepter to change one of the colors, so that they read out blue, blue, orange, green. This would translate to left, left, right, up. But, there are mirrors facing the middle two colors, meaning you have to mirror the middle two directions.

If you're still stumped about this room, remember that Aquamentus from the second room in the place surrounded by the protective force.  If you can't get anything to him, make him come to you.  As for what to do, just enjoy things; it'll be a blast, I assure you.

You obviously got the normal champions medal What two items did you use to unlock the chest that had the champions medal? One them must be used in that room. After using the item, you need to remember what you did in the mirror room in Soltis. Then the block with the down arrow needs some attention. Good Luck.

I'm still stuck on the Soul Game box puzzle.  Do I need to find Mr. Mega first or is Mr. Mega the reward for figuring out this puzzle?  If I have to find Mr. Mega first, is there a hint (besides the note in the library) that I can find somewhere that will lead me towards him?
