I can't for the life of me figure out how to open the doors in the second rooms of the caves where the magic upgrades are supposed to be.

There is a boulder that can only be pushed if you have the Bracelet.

A bit ago I beat Level 7, headed to Level 8 to be confronted by an ENTIRE DELTA FORCE SQUADRON OF RED BUBBLES. MARK II. icon_omg.gif

And they came, they went, they did [away with my sword] as they pleased.

THEN I found out I needed the Bait to press on. Swordless, granted, but on I must go.

I'm off to get the Bait I need, but... Is Level 8 intended to be played swordless? Or do you get the Fire Rang so you can stun them? Either confirmation works for me... icon_cry.gif

Yes, you are tested in The Red Mile using the Boomerang and the Bow and Arrows and the Bombs and the Wand when you get it.
The Fire Boomerang is only available in Level-6 of the Xtreme Mode

I started with over 200 Rupees in that dungeon, and ran out before I could even find the Wand. icon_mad.gif

On the up side, I found the Map, Compass and several keys. icon_smile.gif

Back to work.

Oh, now I see the boulder. Thanks, friend!

If you destroy all enemies is various rooms in level 8 of 2nd, you can get more rupees to resupply your stock of arrows. There are a lot of rupee prizes in level 8 for that very reason.

Hey, I downloaded this a couple of weeks ago and I like it for the most part. It took me a while to remember that this was a remodel of the original - before that I was happily exploring everything as if it were totally new. I liked pretty much everything in it until I got to level 4 when I started noticing something that has since ruined the game for me (I basically quit playing at level 6): Magic. It totally ruins it for me when items that are vital in order to continue require magic to be used - and yet, magic is so easily lost. Whoops! I got bumped into some spikes, now I'm out of magic again. Guess I'll have to go back to a shop and purchase another bottle of it.

Aside from the magic bar and the mini games which really aren't fun at all, this has been pretty neat so far. But being constantly out of magic and being constantly required to have it in order to continue has ruined this quest for me. icon_frown.gif

If you found some Magic Upgrades and buy a Potion, you'll be able to make it.

This is probably the dumbest question you will ever get about this game (which is awesome, btw)...
I am totally stuck in Level 1 - I'm missing something that, from the looks of this thread, 99% of people are moving straight past with no trouble.
I'm at a point where to proceed, I need more keys than I can locate.
This room:

Should have a key, I feel. But how to get it? Earlier in the thread someone suggests the obvious; shooting an arrow at the statue. But I don't have a BOW! I never got far in the original, but I remember enough to know that the bow is supposed to be behind the locked door that I need to -shoot something- to get the key to.
Or is it elsewhere? I thought of that possibility and wandered around the overworld for an hour or so but didn't see anything but places I shouldn't be yet.
So can anyone point me in the right direction? Is the bow outside or in?

Use an Arrow on the statue! The Bow IS in Level-1! Try heading towards the boos chamber, a key is there!

Hey everyone. I'm pretty new to this. I'm playing the Origin 1st quest and am stuck in Level-1. I really never played the SNES zelda very much, but a little.

I understand that I need to find the bow to shoot the statue in the eye for the big key. The only room I can't get to is shown in this screen shot. I'm assuming that's where the bow will be. However, I can't seem to get into it. I assume it has something to do with those arrow blocks which I pushed around in the order indicated but no luck. There's also a yellow switch that doesn't seem to do anything.

Any help?

PS. I'm using v2.11 Lost Isle Build for Linux.

You have to move the arrow blocks so the plain block can get to the switch.

Okay, I have one.

Where is the goddamn WAND in The Red Mile!? I'm going around and around and AROUND the level, slowly losing woopeez 'cause of having to beat enemies with the arrow, and there's all these tantalizing Wand-triggered spheres that I can't do anything about until I get it. Augh! icon_augh.gif Help me!

By the way, I have one Key.

I sometimes play with this quest, beaten first two levels, explored most of the overworld, having blue mail, 6 heart containers, 1 bomb upgrade. I love this exploring, this is really like the upgraded 1st qst, however I wouldn't call it a remake, rather a "based on" product. They aren't the same.

Now, I have encountered a LOT of caves that don't have anything interesting in them, just enemies... bombing, burning, arrowing, etc. don't work. One is just east from the village. What are these for? Some mega ultimate secret, like MD and FB in LI?

Also, how to open the westmost opened grave in the graveyard? The northeast one could be superbombed, but the other remains as it is. I know that there were something there even in the original 1st.qst.

Oh, by the way, I'm playing the easiest one currently.
