level 9... [has] ideas that I've never seen done in ZC before
Unless you played Promised Lands before playing Isle of Rebirth despite IoR doing it first and having it in the 2012 Expo build. >.> <.<

It's been really bothering me since level 4, the gibdo and stalfos dungeon. Then there's lv 5, the darknut and candle dungeon, then the tektite and moth dungeon, then the wizzrobe dungeon ... I never once suggested he should "throw in stock enemies randomly," but I really think something more is needed. The enemies don't feel utilized to their full effect, they feel overused to the point where I get sick of seeing them.
And on the subject of hype ... People have been saying "this is hands down the greatest quest ever" since before it was even released. How is that not over-hyped? There's a lot to be said for different tastes and different types of quests. There are puzzle quests in the database that make no sense to even compare to something like this. No matter how great the quest, not everyone will like it or consider it their favorite, so I find a statement like that ludicrous.
There's a lot of talent behind this, and it turned out great, but all along I've feared that anyone who doesn't think it's the greatest masterpiece in the history of mankind would be ganged up on, and I can already see that happening here.

I have way more fun with the dungeons of LQFTH2 and Promised Lands, that's the truth. For some reason, I find the dungeons in this quest a bit uninteresting for my tastes. I think Evan forgot a bit about doing the game fun at times.
Don't forget that you guys (Moosh-Russ), promised the best quest ever. I advised about no hyping the quest. It's a great quest, but with big shortcomings, has a lot of going, the bosses are cool... But as and overall experience... I don't know, I have mixed feelings. I will wait to the end, though. But I'm forcing my way to keep the interest.

Alllllrighty Aevin, you might be reading a bit too much into that. And I usually read a lot into stuff. Sooooo I might be wrong.
But all I see is just a simple disagreement, not a manhunt.

And Like Likes and bats. >.> <.<
Don't remember the enemy variety as well from levels five and six though, but other than Like Likes I swear there was at least one other enemy type in level five. And level seven just felt like Wizzrobes were part of the gimmick. It all seemed themed, if you know what I mean. I'm not contesting your feelings on the matter, just presenting a different perspective. Either way, the variety gets much better starting with level nine either way. Nine and twelve in particular are strong in enemy variety.

That's unfortunate, because I don't think that's happening, or maybe it's just me thinking the ones who've said it's one of the most amazing things ever are insane. ![]()
(Not that I don't really love this quest, I do, hence my rating.)
None of you guys are wrong about the hype train being massive though; anyone who denies that is kind of shortsighted.

Yeah, you're right. I'm feeling really tense today for some reason, and my post was overly incendiary. Sorry ...
Anyway, please don't attack people with differing viewpoints, guys. I'll write a review after I've finished. It will be about my own experience with the quest because that's the only viewpoint I can come from. It will contain criticism, but I'll try and be fair, and I hope it will prove useful. ![]()

WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS TELL ME I WAS BEING REDUNDANT

I really see the enemy quantity as a YMMV thing. On one hand, I definitely see how it's easy to get sick of them, while on the other adding more risks enemy uniqueness being lost and not being able to use each one to its fullest potental. However, I do agree Level 8 could have used one or two more in hindsight.
I don't want anyone to feel suppressed in giving feedback. Everyone is entitled to their opinion afterall. I definitely welcome constructive and detailed feedback.

Although I've not finished it yet, I do agree with those who say IoR is an absolutely fantastic quest, so I find the hype deserved (unless the quest suddenly becomes horrible in the later stages, but I can't see why that would happen). But there is absolutely NO quest that everybody loves. Not a single one. Even the most popular ones have at least a few people who don't care for them. So just keep in mind, even if many players love a quest, that's still never a guarantee that you will love it as much as they do. In this particular case, you could even try a very long demo and see what the hype was all about for yourself; though I rarely play demos myself, so I wouldn't blame someone for preferring to wait for the full thing.
So, back to level 7 for me, I'm still stuck... There are rooms with mirrors and blue wizzrobes, but the mirrors just seem to be there to make the magic bounce back and forth and make the area more challenging, I didn't find any secrets there. There's also the room with a shutter door, and blocks you can push down when you come from the north; I don't know if I'm supposed to find a way to open that door, or if it's a one-way shutter or something. There's also a chest with a key near the start that I can't access, I suppose I have to fall down from the upper floor but I can't reach that spot yet. Is there anything I need to do in any of these areas? Is there a special trick to the warp rooms, like a hidden trigger or something? I don't know what I'm missing.

Having the same problem here. In addition, I see a way to get into another warp room - that long corridor with conveyer belts up the middle and corridors on the sides blocked by these invincible crystal blocks. At the top there is a shutter and a red crystal. But here's the problem: the wizzrobes don't respawn in these rooms, so I can't bait a wizzrobe into hitting the crystal.

You can reach it actually. Get to the room on the right side of floor 2 (room 64, accessed by going up the stairs after heading through the warp maze) with two switches, two mirrors, and a shutter door. trick the wizzrobes into the shooting at the mirrors to hit the switches and open the doors. Go left and up, then fall down the right side of the screen. Bam, you've got your key. There's also a chest with a key near the start that I can't access, I suppose I have to fall down from the upper floor but I can't reach that spot yet. The wizzrobes actually don't play ball with you in that room. While under rare instances it's possible to get them to open the way, it is not required at this point. (It also doesn't really break anything if you do, either.)

It takes some getting used to, just make sure you're holding down the button and using left and right to control its direction. Just remember that it travels left and right from Link's perspective, not yours; it's a bit confusing at first but you'll get used to it.

Is this puzzle actually doable, or just some sort of troll puzzle? I'm not seeing any possible way to do it whatsoever.
