I've managed to make the Wizzrobes' magic get reflected to hit switches in one room, but just the one room. Are there more than one? I didn't know there were similar looking strike switches, I'm gonna have to look into that. (edit: Nah, all the blocks I'm seeing are exactly the same. For the first time, I'm actually really stuck here.)

You have to intentionally get teleported by the statues to different parts of the room.

It's on an island in the ocean in Northern Remdra. You have to finish the trade sequence to get there.

I just beat the bonus dungeon and boss. Probably the hardest thing made in ZC. Good luck to anybody stupid or crazy enough to try it.

Ok, Prismatic Gate at least looks like a fun level. But it has the same problem than all the quest: no care in the atmosphere at all (at least I like the music here). The layouts in this quest are a bit convoluted and artificial.

Another great problem is the lack of originality in the quest. All the main ideas in the dungeons of the quest are done before (and better, in my opinion, L4 is the exception). I feel the quest like a remix version of the style of Shoelace-Peteo, but with more difficulty and less class. The lack of enemy variety is a problem. I mean, there is some interesting custom enemies, but not enough different enemies in each dungeon.

And more importantly, the overworld of this quest screams for a cave system and better interiors. The overworld feels underdeveloped and is killing the quest for me. It's very strange how the quest throws the heart pieces to you. Another thing that bothers me is that the strings never update... In this type of quest, that detail destroyed my immersion.

I think this quest was overhyped. Need more time of developing, honestly. After L6, I feel the quest rushed.

Evan: I plan to write a detailed review of this when I finish, but I have to say this is the absolute biggest thing that's bothering me right now. The scale of the dungeons is huge, but I think they would stay fresh if there were a wider variety of enemies to fight. It gets very old seeing only one or two enemies throughout an entire dungeon. Your custom enemies are cool, but why not scatter in some of the more standard Zelda foes? That would grant players a bit of a breather to enjoy the uniqueness of your other enemies when they're around. For dungeons this size, I think it's really important to have at least 7-8 enemies in each, instead of 2-3. That would give you enough to put together enough different combinations of a few enemies each to make every room feel unique. The enemies don't all have to be crazy edited enemies; just use some of the stock enemies we know and love.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't notice the lack of enemy variety... except in level eight. That is where the lack of enemy variety is both noticeable and aggravating. Otherwise I never really noticed.

I think this quest was overhyped.

Weren't you the one that said you didn't finish the expo demo? That demo basically laid out for the player exactly what they were going to get in the final game with some additional polish of course. If you overhyped it by not playing it and ended up expecting a completely different experience, I'm afraid the only one you have to blame is yourself.

Also the atmosphere improves significantly after level 9 in my opinion, but my opinion is probably way different from yours since I thought Level 8 had some of the best atmosphere in the quest. It also had some of the best rump rustling in the quest for me...

Edit: Also for the record, Level 9 of IoR was made before Level 7 of Promised Lands, so if that's why you call the dungeon unoriginal, it was just because the quest has been in development for a while.

I REALLY have to disagree with you guys on the enemies. So many other quests just throw enemies out at the player without any thought at all. This one instead has a few enemies in each area, but every single one is carefully use to maximum effect. Find me a single dungeon where the enemies were thrown in haphazardly and not used to their full potential. What it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. I feel like throwing random stock enemies in would be the worst possible thing he could do to his dungeons; it would destroy their sense of uniqueness and ruin the carefully calculated enemy placements.

Regarding ideas, I have to disagree with you Air Luigi. Aside from 4, levels 9, 10, 11, and 12 all have ideas that I've never seen done in ZC before, whole 6 and 7 throw a new spin on old tricks.

Regarding caves, not everybody can be a DarkFlameWolf when it comes to cave systems. I think the overworld's cave system is on par with most quests', and the overworld itself easily surpasses those of last year's best quests like Quest and Promised Lands.
