Hey, Shoelace. What's the point of the "LOADING! LOADING!" screen in the Inferno area?

I can answer that. In a later part of the level bubbles remove your ability to use the sword and items. But if you die there, you still don't have the ability, so right at the beginning, when it says loading, Link gets hit by two bubbles that give him the ability to use items back.

You can download it in the "5 Years of Hero of Dreams" thread if the quest project discussion forum, BUT, and this is a big but, there's a bug with 2.5 that makes it impossible to kill the last boss. So you really do need to play the game in 2.10.

Oh, that's what it's for! VERY smart! I finished the temple without knowing that icon_razz.gif
Thanks, Russ!

Major issue:

As soon as I entered the 3rd dungeon and then text ended, the "press A" icon will not go away, Link is invisible, and I cannot move nor can I get out of the room even if I end the quest and continue.

What is the deal?

I changed the way it works in the new version of Hero of Dreams, so it should work. It is a major issue because 2.5 is not designed for this game. It breaks it, so I found a workaround. I tried to fix everything on it, but as russ said there is another major issue with 2.5 that doesn't allow you to complete the last boss. I am going to post the bug about the 2.5 in AGN because I don't think they know about it. So hope they fix their bug. Until then the game is for 2.10

It is in the desert. Where are you? What have you got? Where have you explored. Donmore said go went to Autumn Town to meet him there. Once you meet him, he tells you to go north of autumn town to the Canyon/Desert. So have you done any of that, if not, please provide more details so i can tell you where to go.

The Spirit palace is completely broken in 2.5.

I cannot fire the hookhot through any of the boundaries of the walkable space above the lave tiles. This makes getting the key to the right of Donmore in the fire floor impossible and also getting to the switch that has to be hit with the sword at the bottom of the fire area impossible to get to.

2.5 is broken with ladder/hookshot tiles I remember in RC1. So yeah, it won't work on that version. icon_frown.gif

I know RC2 works a little better, but russ said it makes the final boss unbeatable. So again, if possible please play it on 2.10 which is the version it was tested and built for. icon_frown.gif

You could try copying the .sav file in the Zelda Classic 2.5 folder into your folder for 2.10, but I kind of doubt 2.10 would be able to read the file. It wouldn't hurt to try though.

If you do have to start over though, honestly, the game is still fun and worth playing to the end. I mean, I'm on my third or fourth play through of the game since it was first released.

What is the solution to the 2nd floor of the windmill's puzzle? Those pots aren't helping at all and even if I put all the blocks on the spaces the way won't open up.

The key is the sequence you cover them. That's what the pots are trying to tell you.

I'm stuck in Fort Wolfblin. I've gotten out of prison and so far I have the map and compass. I've lowered the ladder at the far right part of the Fort but I can't figure out where to go next. I'm walking back and forth trying to find a trigger but no luck. I've tried burning different things but nothing is working.
Thanks in advance,

I decided to try this quest because of all the rave reviews but I cannot even get through Donmore's Cave. I can get to an exit back to,a short distance to the screen where it begins but the only possibility to progress in the cave that I can see is on the left side on the other side of the water. If one must cross 4 conveyors without raising the blocks then I am up the creek, so to speak. I am tired of attempting to do that - some advice please.
