I just added my previous posts I just made into a spoiler tag because I wasn't thinking about that when I posted it. Sorry about that.

Spoiler

Is standard like Normal IoR?

I think it's somewhere between Easy and Normal.

Technically Stronger is what you'll want to play if you played IoR on Normal.

You can switch difficulty at any time. Just return to the sign to switch it to Stronger if you feel Standard is too easy.

As far as I know, there's no way to change the damage the rocks deal to the player without changing how much they deal to enemies (because of how scripted bombs work), so I can't reduce the damage they deal to you. They've already been made significantly more accurate than they were in past builds. As for hits not registering, do you have a video of this? I thought I worked out most of the element hitreg bugs with Frogger X, but it's entirely possible you found a new one.

Sorry to hear you're giving up on the boss.

The problem is that i like to play the whole game in one difficulty. I started playing Standard because i though it was just Normal, but apparently it's Stronger. By the time i realized that i already got like 3 life upgrades, 3 stamina upgrades and beat the first Tower Guardian but all of that was done on Standard.

This is something really dumb to be slightly upset about it, but it's something i can't get over it.

I guess i can either start over or just continue.

Honestly, I'd say standard roughly correlates to normal in IoR. Stronger felt about on par with IoR's Hero Mode at times, maybe somewhere in between normal and hero. And Swindling... it lives up to its title and then some.

I'll still beat it on Stronger though for my stream, and I'm very confident I can actually beat this boss on Swindle. However, I've just ran out of patience for trying on Swindle mainly because of my above complaints about the boulder attack.

Stronger is definitely not Normal IoR. Normal IoR is much easier.

Also, am i undergeared against the plant boss thingy? Seriously, i can't kill it. I got 5 life upgrades, the hookshot, bombs and hammer.

The plant boss is superboss level from where you are at right now. This is a boss you should save for much later in the game.

I got to the phase where it starts to walk around with its plant arms on Stronger but i can't seem to damage it (or at least i don't know where its weak point is). I leave this boss for later.

I would DEFINITELY advise leaving for later. For what it's worth, it IS possible to beat right at the start. I did it on swindling even.

What that picture doesn't show are the 700+ deaths that happened before then. I'd strongly advise coming back with more health and better ranged weapons. FYI though, the weak spot when it walks around is the flower in the middle. It opens periodically to attack, and it's vulnerable then.

Holy crap, i can't kill Trinexx on Stronger. The battle is way too luck based and several times you HAVE to take damage because you can't get out without getting damage (when all three heads attack at once). Also, the main head feints, just beautiful.

Trinexx is not that difficult on Stronger. On Swindle however, oh man!

It's gonna get harder from here on out. I ended up quitting Swindle not much long after this.

There's a method to Trinexx when it comes to beating him. Because the two heads have different kind of Attacks you need to Attack them differently. Try learning how to pull the ice head through fire that's already on the ground.

There is some luck factor to all these bosses I find. That's because they all have pretty high RNG. Your skill can only get you so far. So a good amount of patience is important. I'm not a big fan of the "luck aspect" of these battles either, but it isn't that bad once you figure out how these bosses work.
