Hi there, I just started playing this game, too. So far, it's been a great quest!

I'm stuck in level 4, too. I got the first key and opened the door to the left of the entrance room. After that, I've found the map and was able to remove the fire blocking another locked door, but I can't find the second key. I searched the first forty pages of the thread, but didn't see any answer to this. It's going to be something really simple, too, I bet.

VVV Thanks, Shoelace! That was definitely something I should have seen. Have since cleared level four and am on my way to 5! :-D

The second key is actually one screen to the left of the entrance. Push the statue, so it matches the other one. You will get the key once you do that.

Hi I also just started playing this and it is amazing. I am stuck in the 2nd dungeon however. I am having trouble getting the bow. I have the extra key, but i can't seem to actually reach the bow. How do i open the door to it? thanks

Everyone gets stuck on this one. >_< One screen left and one screen up from the prison screen, there is a switch on the right wall. It will lead to the bow.

Edit: Doh, I see you already edited your post to say you got it.... nevermind then. lol

the only problem I had with this quest was the music bug..it did get a bit annoying :/

I'm stuck in the 2nd dungeon too >.<

I can't find where to go. The only place I can find to go to go further into the dungeon is past the two guards guarding a garden/maze? ( the one above the two guards where you have to push blocks in front of ) Haven't really done in much in the dungeon elsewise besides go to the jail and get the map and compass @.@. So yeah im stuck
I've got the compass and the map I think >.>...
I must be blind cause I can't see how to get anywhere further w/o the ladders droping ( haven't gotten the bow and arrows yet ) so yeah...

help?

It says "level 3 blazing inferno." dissapears and leaves the "A" button sign and I can't move or do anything tried waiting, and doing just about everything. But nothing works i just get glitched out I've tried like 10 times now lol, no way I can go any further now.

That's a blank screen with item and sword restoring bubbles in it to prevent you from being left permanently swordless. Try moving down.

I am also having this problem, I do believe this is because we are using 2.5 build which is still in testing phases. I spoke the the maker of this quest (shoelace) and he was very nice but said 2.5 will have errors. I am guessing you run this on vista ( since 2.10 does not work on my OS being vista) I am curious how to fix this as well, any suggestions out there?

I am getting people PMing me about this like every other day now. The builds don't let this game play right for some reason. I actually can't figure out why either. I need how to get around it. But, I can't play or open anything up on 2.10 because of my Vista, so I can't update it.

To play 2.10 on Vista, right-click it and select "Run as administrator". But you need to be the admin.

It isn't that. I can't save in 2.10 zquest, because it comes up in an error every time. And also, in ZC itself I can open it up, but I can't play quests at all. It is really weird.

So I right click the folder containing ZC and ZQ 2.10, and went "Explore" and right clicked both programs and set the compatibility to Windows XP SP2, and clicked the "Run as Admin" Checkbox. (Without the "Run as Admin," you can't load or save quests...) So, I went to load ZC, and the Admin approval thing came up, and I clicked "Approve," and it loaded ZC, and allowed me to load a quest, and play it. So, I played for about 10 minutes to check it out, and it runs like a charm. I then closed ZC, and tried ZQ, again coming up with the Admin Approval, and I clicked "Approve," thus opening ZQ in windowed mode, but went to "Etc" and down to Fullscreen. (You can leave it as windowed if that's your preference.) But I did a test quest, and it worked 100%. So if you Vista-goers have any problems before try this, and post your outcome here so I know if it's just luck on my part, or if it's a fix to all Vista users.Good luck.

if you have tryed this and it dosn't work go and look for 2.10.1 thats the version i was using to play your quest before my PC failed on me (this was an XP one though)

if none of the above works i think your best bet would be the Lost Isle build but i ran into a couple of GFX bugs playing the game in that.

if you have trouble with the Rorriow temple first puzzle, try to melt the lightier block using the lantern
