It's alive, this thread is alive! /me faints. Someone is playing my game awesome. lol. Anyways, I am trying you got the chest with the key in it one room up and one room to the left in the sand. And yes behind the door where the two switches are, is a key. What you do is push the block that is hidden behind the torch like CastChaos said. Once you push that block on its spot, stand on the other one, and the door will open.

One room up, and one left... (checking), from the entrance, or from the sand?
Because i got the sand one and one up and one left from there is the room with the two darknuts and the eye monster, as well as the healing water, and thanks for the answer to the switch puzzle, i swear i checked behind those torches...
And i need the fire boomerang to reach the warp, right?
Thank you.

Edit: Forget it, i already find out.

Sorry to gravedig, but since this is the main help thread it looks like it has been resurrected plenty of other times.

I can't get past the first few screens of Season Isle--those two big statues are trapping me, and I can't find any other way to go. I feel like I must have missed something incredibly obvious, because it doesn't look like anyone else has asked about it.

If I remember, dead trees are hookshot targets. Unless there is no dead trees where you are...

Yeah, thanks! I forgot you could do that, even though I had to do it somewhere else in this quest. I knew it would be something dumb like that--I was stuck on those same three screens for days!

I'm replaying this game 2 years later and am stuck in level 5. After beating the Spirit of Knowledge I walk through the door and am in the water level to the left of the chest with the glove. Can't move the blocks and have to warp out. Also can't get to the chest when I raft around to that area. Am I missing an L1 glove?

NVM--found my answer on post #1040....

Shoelace, this quest was amazing!!! The storyline, overworld layout, dungeon puzzles, music selection, humor, tie-in to the rest of the Zelda series, really everything was done extremely well! (Although I have to admit, the difficulty in level 8 was insane, it took me a while to get through that one). The events were incredible, I have no idea how you pulled off stuff like the Song of Storms or the tunic delivery sidequests. I was just captivated thoughout the entire quest, it was pretty much perfect, except for a few spelling/grammar issues. It took me 25 hours and 23 minutes to finish with 39 deaths (which is probably pretty bad, I'm just glad I finally finished it).

Anyways, did you ever post the heart piece locations for this? I ended up missing 12 heart pieces. I found 4 out of 8 of those "I really want to give you this heart piece..." (or whatever she says) cave places, and I am not sure where the last 4 of those places would be found. I have no idea where the other 8 pieces might be, are there any that were commonly missed by people that have completed this quest already? Also, did you leave out some items (ie. boots, farores wind, gold arrow), or was I just never able to find them?

Finally, one of the signs (I think in the temple of courage if I remember correctly) said that the hero of time defeated Lunapher before. Ganon mentioned a little about him too. So, is he one of the characters in OoT (I think Phantom Ganon was the only boss "sent to another dimension"), or is he someone completely different that you only find out about in your quests?

Again, thanks for making this, I absolutely loved it, hope you can finish Eye of the Moon and maybe the other ones in the series you mentioned in your QPF...

i would say the difficulty in getting the sword was extremely over-powerfully insane for me hehe icon_smile.gif but other than great quest really humor-full and the dungeons were awesome.

Thanks guys, I am glad you enjoyed the game so much. I actually have a heart piece guide in my quest forum. It is still there if you want to check it out. It is under the Hero of Dreams walkthrough thread. Also, 39 deaths isn't bad. I made it so you can die a couple of times, just like the NES games. That was my goal of that game. Level 8 was pretty hard, but that was only because it was originally supposed to be the last level. But a Level 9 came to my head and yeah. lol

Also, yeah, all of those items you didn't find aren't in the game. Nayru's Love was the most hidden item in the game.

As for Lunaphr. He is my character, and you only know a little bit about him. My series of games is basically his storyline. I don't want to give too much away, but yes, Lunaphr is my main villain.

And yes, EotM should be coming out late next year depending on the release of 2.5.

You did a great job Shoelace even though it can be very hard at time it is still a great game. I find myself stuck right now in castle 4 and I got the key but can't do anything else till I get the flute or the red flame. So I know I am missing something but don't know what yet.

I am pretty sure I helped you on chat about that, or maybe it was right before that (edit: nvm, I just remembered that you were having trouble on HotHead. So awesome that you got passed it). But just in case you are still having trouble:

Okay, you weren't very specific on where you are at. I am taking it is before you get the Ocarina and Red Candle. Other than that, I am not sure. You have a key, and the first locked door is on the entrance screen on the left wall. So I am pretty sure you aren't there. Then for the next one you go left and all of the way up to the first flip room, that is another key door. After that, you just follow the path up, and there are two key doors. Once you get through that, you will get the Ocarina. So... I am not sure where you having trouble. If that didn't help at all. Let me know really good details on where you are at, and what you are having trouble with.

Hello Shoelace, I recently started playing this great game of yours and I must say that so far I am impressed.

But.... there is always that annoying but and this is a big one. I reached Blazing Inferno and entered and I seem to have gotten stuck in the doorway. I can not see Link nor go forward or Backward or use the "Start"-button. I can use the sword (I hear it being swung) and the various items i have (hear them to). I have not seen any post mentioning anything like this. By the way I using Vista and could not get 2.10 to work so I downloaded the latest build (18) of 2.11 and everything seemed to work fine up until now. But maybe It just does not work good enough yet. And I have read the "Read this if you are using Vista"-thread at zelda-classic without finding any solution. I tried restarting the quest as well as the program with no change. I dont feel like beginning from the start without knowing if I get past this problem and beat the game.

My question is, does anyone know what the reason is and if it can be resolved?

Hmm... Yeah, HoD is only for 2.10. Once 2.5 is finished I will make a version to play specficly for that version, but yeah, with the betas, it is just up in the air if it will work or not. I haven't played in my game in the latest beta so I am not sure.

I too got a Vista and can't play 2.10 games so I feel your pain. I know that in the doorway I had to put a cutscene in the very beginning. And what you would do is press A. There were sword triggers that would make the next scenes go. I am thinking, that the sword triggers aren't working right on the screen for some reason. That would cause that to happen. But I am not exactly sure. So you are playing it on build 887 right?

Yeah, well under help It says build 18 but the file I downloaded was called 887-windows. So I suppose we are talking about the same build. Anyway, I think parts of that cutscene was shown before the game frooze and there is a A-symbol on the screen, but the only thing that happens when it is pressed is the sword sound coming out the speakers.

I eagerly awaits 2,5 and Eye of the Moon and an updated version of Hero of dreams.

Help Shoelace Help!!!
I have been wondering around the front of Level 2 for hours. In the upper left, I've pushed the statue to the left and dropped down the hole. Wondered around...get caught...wonder around...get caught. I'm never going any further. I've come out on the top right area. Blocked the 2 guys with the blocks, went down and burned the bush. Dropped down that hole ... wondered around ... and I'm still stuck. Guess I'm stupid. Everyone else is getting it but me! icon_redface.gif

Generally, I'm good at these games . . . but you have really stumped me!

HELP!!!
