I reached the 92th floor in the Cave of Ordeals and died… Wizzrobes ¬¬ I found out to my surprise that I have to do it all over again, but I didn't lose a single heart in the first 60 floors. How many floors are there? Is it worth it to try again? In my opinion, the first 60 floors are unnecessary, I would delete them or at least make that section shorter or add checkpoints... since it's a drag having to do it all over again… =(

Eagle Hell is awesome, I loved the secret ending. Much better than Cave of Ordeals xD

PD: You mentioned that there are two new shops, but I've finished the game and found only the one that sells the golden arrows. Where is the other shop?

Even after so long, I came back to this quest and....I still can't get into it. Sorry. It'll be a quest I'll never finished, let alone find/beat level 3.

lol, yeah the Cave of Ordeals is just there because I know only 2/10 would go through it, it is just for those hardcore players. There are 100 floors. and the checkpoints would get rid of the point, so yep. icon_razz.gif

But thanks I am glad you liked Eagle hell. Hopefully in the future you will enjoy my next quests. icon_biggrin.gif

The other one is in the Graveyard. XD

Find it? Everyone directs you where to go. But, I guess now you know the feeling I got in Lost Isle. XD lol

I've finally completed the Cave of Ordeals! With only one heart left xDD

I hate you Shoelace, what a sense of satisfaction. Ufff, good grief, if had died in the last room, I would have shot myself. Why would I want the prize now thought? icon_heh.gif Even my ears were shaking in the last room icon_lol.gif

I would have given the Golden Tunic at the end of Eagle Hell and that way the Cave of Ordeals would have been easier, but whatever, is your game.

Hey Shoelace, just downloaded this and really looking forward to playing the updated version.

I first played and reviewed this in Sept '07(5 stars of course), so time to play again I think. icon_thumbsup.gif

Will report any bugs, but it looks like they have all been squashed. icon_twisted.gif

And hey... what happened to your sexy mustache? icon_eek.gif icon_lol.gif

One TINY thing that I forgot to mention in Level 4:

The combo to the north of link is solid, and I don't think it's supposed to be.

You know what sucks more than being stopped by a version bug very early in the quest? Being stopped by a version bug almost near the end. It's not a game ending version bug it seems, but it's going to be very painful completing the game now that I've found that thanks to the RC2 swimming bug I can't get the Red Tunic or Nayru's Love... icon_sorry.gif

Here's something even worse Poke: The final boss can't be beaten on RC2. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't finish the game. Same as me.

Seriously Shoelace, is it too much to ask to make a version that lets those of us who can't play it on 2.10 finish it?

The reason why I waited 5 years to do this update was because I wanted it to be a 2.5 update. However, 2.5 kept taking long. I actually made a version of 2.5 HoD with 8 way walking, the bosses were cleaner because of direct screen warps. I was redesigning the game. Problem was every update broke my game. Over the years, I got frustrated. I stopped that game and EotM. I felt bad for Eurylias because he worked so hard on the string update for the 2.5. So I declined I will make a 2.10 version and just cancel the 2.5 altogether.

In other words, my game isn't broken. It is 2.5 RC2 that is broken. So let's say I fix this, what happens when 2.5 RC3 comes out and something else is broken? Do I have to fix this too? What about making it playable for the 100s of other builds? I am not going to update anything like that especially my final boss which would require a complete overhaul in the design, just to update something that wasn't my fault. I think this should be a bug that should be posted on AGN for them to fix, so that 2.5 RC3 can work on it.

I said in the beginning this is a 2.10 game. I will fix bugs that are my cause, but if it is the player, than this should be a bug reported to the developer's of Zelda Classic. icon_frown.gif

I feel your pain, Shoelace. With every new build that comes out, things break. That's a fact of life. But now that we have RC1&2, we actually for the first time in a long time have a universal version of 2.5. I'd suggest that you give even the most minor RC2 update a try and then you can mark it as just that: an RC2 update. And if people still use the wrong build, it's their own fault because RC2 isn't going to suddenly disapear when RC3 comes out. Either that or add cheats. We know enough about 2.10 to know where you did and didn't put important triggers, we won't break the game with cheats by using walk through walls to climb up a vine by the water that RC2 makes impossible to climb.

No, because here's the thing. When RC3 comes out, I'll still be able to play on RC2. But, I'll never be able to play on 2.10. You don't have to add any special 2.5 features, it's just a matter of letting all the people who can't play 2.10 (read: Anybody with Mac, Linux, Windows Vista, and some Windows 7 users) play the game. It's not like it would take much time either; you'd just have to put an extra vine down in Hyrule Field to fix RC2's swim bug, change the first room of the Windmill to fix the bug where the book doesn't open it, and change three screens of the final boss to use auto warps instead of direct warps. It'd take half an hour, at most. Is that really so much to ask for, for a chance to finish such a great game?

Hey Shoelace. The hammer tiles with the mirror shield are a bit buggy. Link's shield just randomly shrinks back to the normal shield. Also, is the bug in the final battle perhaps caused by the same thing as the bug in Level 3. Because if that's the case, Shoelace could fix it by opening up more movement space during that one part. If it's the part I'm thinking of that is.

Edit: Hey Shoelace! I could use some help finding Eagle Hell because unless it's like directly next to level 9 or something, I've missed something (I'm currently in level icon_cool.gif.

You know, because it was made with 2.10? That's kind of how it worked back then, if you're saying what I think you're saying.

Oh wow. Learn something new every day. That bonus dungeon still Hass me stumped. (oh the puns. They're TERRIBLE)

I have no clue where it is.

K so I know it's in the Temple of Courage, but I have no clue how to get in. I'm right up at the end of the game. Do I have to beat the final boss first or something?
