Oh yeah, Shoelace, forgot to ask you... where did you get your "Dream On" Midi? That is the most awesome midi ever. However, if I wanted to do the same thing(with a different song: Bon Jovi's "I'll be there for you") how would I get the midi version without the lyrics like you had?

I'm trying to beat the boss for mt. frost but when the ice blocks appear I can't rid of them for some reason. they won't burn no matter what i do.I used the red candle on them, bombs, and the magic wand (with the magic book) is there something simple I'm missing because I've tried everything I can think of. I've been systematically firing arrows and boomerang hoping to hit some hidden switch or bug. I'm starting to worry it's a glitch. thanks

I think you either have to push the blocks or fire your wand at the hidden mirror on the cloud.

Yeah, some blocks can be melted (they're always different-colored) and some can be moved. And yes, there is a mirror behind that cloud.

I found it on the internet when I searched on yahoo. I think I put "Dream on Midi". And it came up, and I after sorting through some of the bad ones, I found the one I used in the first level. So sorry, I don't have a specific site, but you can most likely fine a midi of that song as it is a popular one.

Heh heh, I know of a little trick which others might know as well to "pirate" MIDIs if you like them, but make sure they're not owned by someone who loaned it to the quest author and are public material so you don't get people mad at you and trying to sue you or something. Pressing the escape key during a game will bring up the options menu and then just look for the option that tells you what MIDIs are in the game. You can then save a copy of the file to whatever location you choose, but you will have to add the .mid tag to your file name so the system will recognize it as an MIDI file. After that you can either import it to your quest or listen to it, depending on your preferences. Also, Shoelace, I thought I read somewhere you might consider updating The Hero Of Dreams with newer graphics and what not. Is that something that you're still mulling over, or is that a little far fetched a project to see materialize? I still think that the Hoohoo Mountain MIDI and the Metroid MIDI were some of the best themes used in this quest and suited their respective dungeons perfectly. Though the Golden Sun MIDI in the Spirit Temple is cool, I think it was too powerful and upbeat for a graveyard based dungeon, but that's just my personal preference.....

Yeah, I made sure none of the midis were copyrighted or anything. I got the ones that people wanted you to use them, like VGA's site. I think that is what it is called.

Anyways, about the HoD update. It is going to happen. However, it won't be updating any graphics. Reason being is I want to focus all of my free time for ZC for EotM. As if I don't I may just lose interest. Basically, I promised a easier version and that is what I will give everyone.

However, not to say there won't be any extras. But for that you may have to wait until the Autumn Expo....

Shoelace - I just searched "Dream On Midi" and found a site that came up with a LOT of great Classic Rock Midis. Am I allowed, by Copyright, to put these in my game?

Are you going to fix all of those tile errors on Hero of Dreams 2.5? And are you going to add a superdungeon exclusively for the 2.5 version?

Yeah, one additional dungeon... perhaps one that has some 2.5 items? Like the scrolls?

You know, you should add some new areas. Areas for obtaining the scrolls.

Oh, I see. Maybe wait then until some point in the future for the graphics update so you aren't burned out on ZC and don't have any other projects in the works. As for the difficulty, don't change a thing in my opinion. If you want to lessen the difficulty curve for some players, maybe consider making Nayru's Love available a little earlier, or having the Gold Ring available as a bonus dungeon item in an insanely well guarded area, but the fact that this game was so difficult to me was what part of the appeal was to it. Even though The Commander was one of the most irritating and difficult opponents in the game, I wouldn't change a thing about that engagement as that was what made this boss enemy stand out as unique. Good luck with EOTM and I trust it will turn out as well if not better than HOD.....

I think that the 2.5 version should be an easier version, for the less insane players. Anyone who wants a challenge still can make it harder on themselves by skipping the Heart Containers.

BTW, I've been stuck in Dungeon 2 for a while now. I haven't tried it again lately(due to laziness), but I had just got the boss key and now I don't know where to go. I had also obtained the arrow, but not the bow.

Also - my copyright question still stands. Can I put these midis in my game without legal repercussions?

I don't see why not. Lots of other quest makers have done so. So long as you give the credit to those from which you got them.

There is a shutter room with some lock blocks. Search the walls to open the shutter. That will take you to the bow with the expense of one key. Hope you found the key which can be got by slashing some wines somewhere at the northwest.
