So, I'm at that point where the Otherworld man hinted at the box outside of the Soul Game.  I've come up with several different crazy theories on what he meant by it, until I realized that there is a box in the hedge maze screen that's in the same exact position on the screen that the Soul Game box is in.  At first I thought it was a coincidence until I realized it was a different color than the rest of the boxes.  Am I on the right track?

 

Also, I feel like I should have the last item (In the next to last slot, that I'm assuming is the hammer) by now.  Is it still possible to get it?

The Soul Game secret isn't too far away from where the house actually is but you'll have to ponder it pretty well or stumble upon it by accident. It's probably the most obscure secret in the game because of what you receive at the end. Keep at it.

 

The Hammer is in that slot to the left of the Paradox Hover Boots. If you've been running around with good karma you can pick it up still (look for Hookshot targets in older places). If you've been playing bad karma and picked up the Peril Pendant instead, you're out of the Hammer for the playthrough.

I got the True Champions medal. However, I did not find Mr. Mega when I got it. May I have just a little hint on where to begin looking for Mr. Mega? Also I managed to buy the red candle and the Fire Fife. Does that mean that even though I am on a good karma run, that I could find and buy the flippers?

Nah, the Red Candle is the odd man out on bad karma items you can actually buy. It's something I was very hesitant to do but it got me thinking of future ways to make other missable items accessible through random bonuses.

 

Mr. Mega has a hint in the Soul Game if a certain person is still alive. Otherwise there's a very subtle use for a newer item you obtained in an older area.

How can I get the Peril Pendant? No idea in how I can delete those blocks. Tip? o.O

Also, Is it possible to get Cane of Byrna in a bad karma run? The path to the Trial is closed

The Peril Pendant can be obtained by using another bad karma item on a certain object in that room.

 

I was able to get the Cane of Byrna on a bad karma run.  I think you just have to progress a little more into the story before it opens up.

As RedTribe said, but you don't necessarily need the bad karma variant of the item that works. Look for a lighter color tile versus another one.

 

Cane of Byrna is available on every run but you still have to participate in Dojo activities to get the cave to open. Though that did give me an idea for a "steal the Cane" side quest for bad karma haha. Not sure how I'd implement it though.

I feel like I've been sucking at this game a lot recently. There's nothing with it mind you, but I guess whenever I play a new quest, I am usually only good at it if I know what I am doing.

Anyways, the last place I left off was defeating Rafell in the cave requiring 2 keys. I now have 1 key for Myso Mts. The only place I know of going to now is to the Duke fight in Brace Dest. I have the Level 2 Wand, but seem to have more trouble with the battle. Sorry to ask, but are there any other offensive upgrades or areas I should go to? Or is there another strategy to defeating Duke?

Duke is admittedly the second hardest boss in the game, especially if you try to rush him. I would recommend having around 9 Heart Containers and potion for him if you're having difficulties. He is weakest to magic but other weapons can damage him too, so it may just be a matter of figuring out how to dodge some of his faster attacks. Depending on your play style, either his first phase or his second phase could be the more difficult phase.

 

If you don't have a Magic Shield, the mirrors in the second phase can catch you off guard.

 

You have infinite magic in the fight because of Brace Dest's power, so wail away with timed hits and move away afterwards.

 

If you're playing good karma, the Hookshot will let you get your hands on the Hammer, which while it deals Magic Sword damage is slower. But that would be another offensive option.

 

A defensive option on a bad karma item is the Peril Pendant, which will halve damage you take while you have three hearts or less (not much of a prize against someone dealing one and a half hearts per hit, but it may give you that edge).
