Whoa, that's an old quote. Yeah, you can get the next sword; try looking around for a magic mirror glyph in the eastern part of the dark world. You'll still need the level 4 dungeon item.

 

Also, try hitting enemies with things other than the sword. Some things are stronger against it than others.

 

For those who thought this quest needed a disclaimer that it's difficult, I made it more clear in the quest description today. I didn't change the quest, just the info on PureZC.

I tried every item I had on the spot, including the hammer, but to no avail. I believe I'm supposed to eventually end up here in the light world, but what's the secret?:

You need to use the magic mirror there. You can find it in Hyrule Castle's basement.

yes , you step on that glyph and use mirror to change worlds, when world change you'll be inside  and can walk down to hammer those pegs and get the sword!!

PS.. you will need to do the same at some other places!!

Look for the Secret Tunnel in the same area as Eppy's hiding spot, but in the opposite world. You need the golden sword to get in.

Look for a cave marked with shields on the outside. There's a way up to the mountain there.

So. I think I'm in the same area as Eppy's hiding spot, up where I got the 1/2 magic but in the opposite world. I have the golden sword, I've used it on many things in the "area," used the lens of truth, and I see no where to indicate the entrance to the Secret Tunnel. Am I off the track?

It's not there. A few screens to the right there is a sword switch... that's all.

Thanks, Air Luigi! I've passed that switch a thousand times. I thought I already hit it to make the ladder there appear.

I finished level eight  now, only thing there was the red tunic, walked three time to make sure how to get the lens

enter level 8 go left , go up and enter the first room to the right walk down the ladder once down go left and go up,, this is the  lens room

will show up after you kill all moving things in here, then walk trough the right wall ,, you there,, got some picturesQQ

 

 

Many thanks vravelo.  I made a silly mistake (!) by just not noticing that I already had the key needed to enter the first locked door on F1.

 

I just finished the quest (holy ---- was that final boss awesome).  I'll post a review shortly.

I recently beat Level 3. I'm now looking everywhere for Level 4 but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I must've been missing something really obvious though O_o

Do you have the master sword? To get to Level 4 you need to use the master sword on a crystal switch somewhere in the overworld to get to the dark world.
