Also, how am I supposed to activate Frogger X? I got all the tablets now and nothing is still happening (unless I need to activate the Abyss Tablet which is the only one left, but I have no idea where this would be used)

The Abyss Tablet does indeed need to be activated. If you've activated all the other tablets, just head to the final boss and a certain plot event should occur.

Why did I put myself through all this torture

GG Evan, I almost lost it and screamed when I found out this is all I got for beating him. Infinite money ftw though lol. But man, that was an amazing superboss btw, had a ton of fun fighting this guy, though he did almost drive me to insanity. Good job man.

 

Edit: Oh, and my death count skyrocketed like mad during this fight

There is no ankh. A cutscene will play on the screen outside the final boss if you return there with all the other tablets powered up.

If you hit him with an element, he gains an immunity to it, so hit him with every elemental type until he uses his Black Hole attack and resets his immunities.

Any tips for beating the True Final Boss?

So, this guy has to be vulnerable to the Tablets depending on the element he's using right? If so, I can't remember what weakness each element has...
