The issue with L2 is that is just musical puzzles... the layout doesn't offer nothing. I loved the first puzzle, the second, the third... by the tenth musical puzzle, the gimmick got really old, and I was tempted to close the quest and start to play Z1 instead. Seriously. I appreciate the creativity of these puzzles, but they were overused.
Considering the name of the dungeon. I think music was not only the gimmick of the dungeon, but the entire theme of the dungeon.
What did you honestly expect? Lol
Unfortunately, I might add that pretty much none of these dungeons have a centralized theme that shouts out. Pretty much the entire quest is more focused on it's design on the dungeons themselves. I feel, from your argument here is that you are probably not going to enjoy many of this quest's dungeons as you did PL because you want this quest to be a PL clone.
It's designed differently. That doesn't mean it's designed bad.
It's just got a different direction. A different approach. Themed dungeons where "theme" is the main focus are kinda becoming old anyways. Chances are, that's probably why dungeon 2 was my least favorite dungeon. It was a themed based dungeon in a quest with dungeons that doesn't really seem to have any defining themes in them entirely.
