I love the cucco game and the ice puzzles, so much fun. Your screen design is also awesome, not a too big fan of the christmas-theme, but done very well. A few interesting ideas, but even for a miniquest it was rather boring, especially if you missed keys and had to grind them.

As Christmas is coming around the corner here, and I wanted something to lift my spirits, plus I haven't played this quest yet, I decided to give it a go! And my I was happy! Really enjoyed the gameplay and the ideas inserted into here. Collecting the gifts was pretty sweet, for some reason I enjoyed those SFX. XD Anyways, while I want to give it 5 stars, it just couldn't get there. While the idea and the gameplay was grand, some of it just felt repetitive. The ice puzzles for one. While I enjoyed it, there where too many for me actually to fully enjoy them. And the ways the gifts where found. Now don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it, but I felt maybe you could of used some other ideas with them. I'm not sure right now, but you could of done something different then having to collect a huge bunch at once sometimes. There was also the Cucco game. It would of been better if you didn't require us to beat it to beat the game itself. I would of enjoyed it if you gave us like another heart container or something...like for those Level 3 stalfos. :P

Anyways, enjoyed it much, got me in a Christmas mood for a while! Thanks! :D 4.6/5

Edit: Staff contacted me an basically told me that I'd have to bump up my rating for all quests I have ever reviewed by one star. Note that this does not reflect my own opinion on the matter, or the quest, but just that it was something I was made required to do.

Great quest, sticks with it's theme and does not overstay it's welcome.

The only debatable things in regards to design choices is the focus on money grinding to get items and minigames tries, and that beating all levels of the minigame is required to beat the game.

Merry Christmas (in July)! Holiday quests are fun for me to play, as they are just there for celebrations, not to be really taken super seriously. But this was a good little creation that helped me think of Christmas spirit, even in July, and it was a decent play as well, although some parts like the cuccos were tough. But, again, not to be taken seriously, just as a celebration of Christmas Spirit. Thanks! (My rating will always be 5 for seasonal quests, as long as they're playable)

First, dungeons: I'm a total wuss about straight-up combat, but I'm definitely not about to complain about a few Level 3 Stalfos when you give us cheap magic and other good equipment. I think this quest was well-balanced in that regard. I enjoyed the ice-block puzzles, but I got a little weary of them when I got to the fourth in a row. Maybe breaking them up in the dungeon would have worked better? But the puzzles themselves did shine with out-of-the-box thinking.

The overworld was as good as anyone could ever ask for. You've managed to cram and condense the Zelda exploration spirit into a wee little map, and it's just the size that it needs to be. The variety of items was just the right amount. I like the way you used the tall trees in the classic tileset.

I'm sitting on 42 presents right now. I may not completely finish this very soon, mainly because of that bloody cucco game! Man, it's brutal! Completely random directions and speeds, I'm guessing? I don't know how some people do this.

I had a good deal of fun with this quest. I'll be the first to recommend it the next time someone asks for a quick, hour-long-or-so romp, or even just next time the holiday season rolls around, and especially to anyone who says he likes ice puzzles. A great game for anyone at all who likes at least one of those. Good job.
