Demo 1 was the one posted way back, and I don't think Demo 2 ever got distributed beyond a couple people, but here's Demo 3, which includes the intro cutscene and the quest up through the first dungeon. For those who played the original, there are a couple of new features (though the item obtained during the intro should explain what L and R do).

I really enjoyed playing this demo, I must warn you that the beginning sequence of your game is broken due to the trees not being solid, you'll see in my LP when I uploads it. But this is one of the better demos I've played lately.

Very creative! Makes me think of the Dorkly Bit: "Link Didn't Get the Sword", but more mature and longer. Lol.
Liked so far: Very interesting premise, cutscenes (was hoping to meet the goddesses at the end of their dungeons to receive their spells or something), good visuals, gimmick that wasn't annoying and unique gameplay. Disliked so far: Having to farm for magic in order to attack with the candle... Perhaps have auto slow magic regen, or magic regen ring as a rare item? Anyway, I liked what I played so far, looking forward to another demo.

Really nice demo!
Pros: - Well designed screens - Level 1's gimmick was pretty interesting - Level 1's boss was also pretty interesting - Interesting quest gimmick. Cons: - Intro felt a bit 'rushed' - Level 1 was a bit linear - Difficulty is really hard (but I guess that's the point of the quest?) Overall, I'm giving this a 4/5, that was pretty nice and I'm looking forward to whatever comes up next. |
